Miller2Rison 3,359
When we went into the 4th qtr with a 28-9 lead said "I don't feel safe with this lead....It is the falcons" this team is like a bad girlfriend,u stay loyal to her but she continues to let u down. EddieK 3,245
I had a feeling, but kept thinking, no f'ing way.
Splash 10
I read that NFL teams are 191-1 when leading by 25 or more in the 3rd quarter. Don't know if this is true but guess who got the only loss?
Frank's Red Hot Sauce 1,501
I had a feeling that B and B wouldn't go down easy. It wasn't about the Falcons losing it, it was about the Pats doing what they do. Questionable play calling allowed the Pats to do that.
Club212 312
I don't know what the score was at 7:30 est, but I got a FB post from a 'Boys fan that said, "things are looking good" my response a minute later, "Will look good at 0:00 after 4th". Been down this road too long with them.

Nope. I looked at my dad and said "We need one more score to finish this."
NashvilleFalcon01 792
When they showed the time of possession stat where it was 18-31 New England, I instantly thought of the Chargers game. I kept waiting for the clinching score, but it never came. Edited February 6, 2017 by NashvilleFalcon01

Butudontseeme™ 9,932
You're not the only one. I felt somewhat confident but my wife said something about the score and I specifically said "there is too much football left to call it a win"
YoungHeezy 9,259
When we didn't come away with 3 after Julio's toe-tap I knew it was trouble. A FG would've all but ended it.
DirtybyrdGA 1,301
but we shouldn't panic, right?
BCEagleATLFalcon 11,361
The Seahawks and Packers games had done SO much to erase the feeling that we'd blow a big play-off lead. I truly believed the game was ours at halftime and was even more certain when we went up 28-3. (And the ugly, severe bruise on my hand should prove that. In fact, I'm not altogether sure I didn't break a bone celebrating.) I don't know how we let it go. A four possession lead in the third quarter of the Super Bowl. This will eventually stop aching like it does right now, but it will NEVER stop stinging.

I posted this morning that at 28-3 my wife wanted to chill the champagne. I told her she was crazy, that this is the Falcons, and nothing is over until 0:00. No, you are not the only one. Espo 50
I may get called a horrible fan for saying this, but I knew once the OT coin toss happened the game was over... I seen 3 pats come out for the coin toss and only Matt Ryan came out for it. I shut the TV off and layed in bed for an hour then checked my phone for the score... Didn't get nervous until 28-20 and even then I thought just give us 3. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrgh...
Farmer2 2,461
I was doing the math in my head and knew we needed one more score at that point to put it to bed.
Bobby.Digital 4,127
Yep. I knew we were done after the Ryan fumble. You could just feel it.
BCEagleATLFalcon 11,361
Just now, Bobby.Digital said: Yep. I knew we were done after the Ryan fumble. You could just feel it. Even then I still thought we would be ok. I still could not fathom that we would give the thing away. And with that very nice pass to Free and the AMAZING pass and catch to Julio on the next drive (once the lead was cut to 28-20), I started celebrating again. Because you just knew it would be 31-20 and even Brady couldn't recover from that. Alas.
mc 777
Ref called hold again while we had field goal range. MATHRWS both times and not one single ol hold by pat's.

ukfalc 3,719
I told a friend of mine only last week that I wouldn't feel safe with this organisation if we were 20pts up with 2 mins to play in the game because there is no limit to our ability to throw away impossible game winning situations. I have to say it, but nothing about last night surprises me. It feels like we are the only team in the NFL who's could have given that game away...
Romfal 11,684
not until we were only up 8 did I think we might lose and it became a good probability once Jake Matthews held Long knocking us out of FG range...
