jj00100
Matt Ryan beat Aaron Rodgers this year so shouldn't that give him the edge? Falcons schedule was WAY MORE tougher also, and Falcons are as hot as any team going into the playoffs. Many pundits and experts said the Falcons have so many weapons so Matt Ryan should win, yet everyone was saying before the season starting, seeing the toughest schedule in the NFL preseason that the Falcons would be lucky if they even won 3 games this year. These so called experts are a bunch of hypocrites. GB and NE have no impressive wins IMO and their schedules were cupcakes compared to ours
CrimsonFalcon
I've said it once, I'll say it again, if he doesn't win it this year, they WHY have it at all.

Terrible measure for an MVP though... Carrs impact is no greater than most other starting QBs. Most teams in the NFL are screwed without their starter, especially franchise QBs

Apparently if you injure yourself and everyone gets to visibly watch your team flop without you (rather than just speculate) then that somehow gives you an edge

I feel bad that Carr broke his leg and all, but c'mon. Do pity points count in MVP voting? Ryan should win it but if Rodgers won it you could at least say he had more TDS or rushing yards. There is at least an argument to be made. Carr is a **** of a player but he in no way had an MVP season.
xiv_T_E_C_O_
Everyone needs to prepare themselves for disappointment because it is very likely that Ryan will not win. If that's the case though it will render the award meaningless in the eyes of many, nothing more than a beauty pageant.

It's given out the day before the Super Bowl. It would be pretty hard to fly under the radar if you're playing in that game but if there ever was a team that could do so....
