The Trump Presidency

I just want someone to start asking Trump basic, on the spot, challenging questions, like "can you show me on a map where is Israel? Who is the President of Zaire? Can you define unilateralism?"

I don't need a book to tell me that the Republicans and conservative news outlets are covering for a crazed, demented grandpa. ****, they did the same thing for a senile, barely able to walk Strom Thurmond way back when.

He will probably reply by saying, “I thought Zares went out of business”.

If you were mentally stable and really smart, why would you have to tell the world that you are? Wouldn't we recognize it ourselves?  What other President in history needed to tell anyone?

  1. ....Actually, throughout my life, my two greatest assets have been mental stability and being, like, really smart. Crooked Hillary Clinton also played these cards very hard and, as everyone knows, went down in flames. I went from VERY successful businessman, to top T.V. Star.....

Trump is a ******* idiot and an ******* and there is a whole lot of potential for him to screw this country up. But he isn't interested in the job, so he and his administration are not capitalizing on the potential (yet at least).

Edit: just kidding, he's doing a lot of harm but what I'm trying to get at is at least Dubya is not in office

Washington DC is one of the top cities for high end escorts.

I wouldn’t be moving to some lake in North Carolina if I were you.

We got 2 senators in the Dem caucus that are willing to take up the issue. Sadly Bernie is nowhere to be found. Sen Dems unwillingness to support an issue that over 60% of Americans support leads me to believe that someone like Hickenlooper can win.

If you have Harris/Warren/Sanders/Gillibrand all run and try to grab the progressive base, that leaves the moderate/conservative base, which will still be around 45% of the Dem base open for anyone. Without Biden running, Hickenlooper will probably have no competition for the moderate wing of the party and probably grab a few voters by being the only one supporting legalization.

Send it.

And these are the populous views they can run with! Just need to enhance them with a hint of policy and they are good to go!

Both are compelling messages for 2020. It will be interesting to see which ones wins. I do think whether or not Dems take back the house/senate plays a significant role in that. Also whether or not we have another recession that everyone seems to be predicting is coming.

I think you are going to need a combination of both or at least need social democratic policies that redistribute the wealth. As Corbyn and polling data proved, suburban voters are willing to join the working class in a class warfare fight.

:munch:  Old debate but worth bringing up again if you believe in democracy as much as I do.

To substantiate obstruction it would require Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his team to substantiate Comey’s claims. The New York Times  reports that Mueller has done exactly that.

Mr. Mueller has … substantiated claims that Mr. Comey made in a series of memos describing troubling interactions with the president before he was fired in May. The special counsel has received handwritten notes from Mr. Trump’s former chief of staff, Reince Priebus, showing that Mr. Trump talked to Mr. Priebus about how he had called Mr. Comey to urge him to say publicly that he was not under investigation. The fact that Priebus took handwritten notes, which are now in the hands of the special counsel’s office, is a striking new detail. This not the only reason to care about the new front-page Times piece. The same article reported that Trump instructed White House Counsel Don McGahn to “stop the attorney general, Jeff Sessions, from recusing himself in the Justice Department’s investigation” of the Russia scandal. McGahn followed the instructions; Sessions ignored the lobbying; and the president “erupted in anger in front of numerous White House officials, saying he needed his attorney general to protect him.”

In the United States, it’s not the attorney general’s job to “protect” the president.

First message is really weak and stupid.

Your genius has probably already thought of it.

....to President of the United States (on my first try). I think that would qualify as not smart, but genius....and a very stable genius at that!
