Falcons and Jarrett lose one sack from total

I hate this rule, Beasley, in my opinion, got robbed of a sack the same way. Even if a quarterback starts running, and he's still behind the LOS, he can pull up at ANY time and throw the ball. In fact I think it was Cam that did this on a goal line play a few years ago, where he kept the ball and went to run in, and jumped up and jumpshotted the ball to Olsen. Any tackle of a quarterback behind the LOS should be a sack, plain and simple.

This is routine standard procedure. Each game is always reviewed to make sure every stat is recorded correctly. We just hardly ever hear about stat corrections but they happen all the time. Sometimes the wrong player is credited for a sack. Or wrong player is credited for a tackle or a rushing attempt or whatever. The crying in this thread is stupid.

Its not stupid...fans being upset.

Yes, there are corrections/reviews.

Grady has made a huge difference in Atl's defense.

Fans just want to see GJ efforts get statistically rewarded...he's earned a 2 sack game.

Was this falling on the guy after he was tripped? I could see that. But they don't take away a sack (as one seemed to imply) for the QB running if he's running because the pass play broke down and it tackled behind the line of scrimmage. But it appears they don't call it a sack if it was a designed running play/option for the QB.

It would be if a QB got tackled behind the line of scrimmage and got recorded as a sack, but when they watched it either the QB made it back to the line of scrimmage, or he took off to run. In both cases it would be a rush and the 'sack' would get changed to a 'tackle'

It's still a sack if he took off to run and it was a designed pass play if he's tackled behind the line of scrimmage. They don't call it a sack if it was a designed running play/option for the QB.

It's not a sack if it's a designed QB run. It's been like that forever. Sometimes during the game in live action is hard for the official scorer to know the difference between a designed QB run and a scramble. That is why they have these reviews. They didn't just decided to take away a sack just for the heIl of it.
