That homer by Stanton was about as crushed as a ball can get.

117 mph exit speed!! I have never seen a number that high on statcast.

Both teams came out swinging tonight. Puerto Rico leads Netherlands 3-2 in the 2nd. Already 3 HRs total.

Puerto Rico beats the Netherlands 4-3 in 11 innings. They advance to the championship game for the second straight WBC.

US vs Japan at 9 PM tonight to see who plays Puerto Rico. Tanner Roark starts for the US. The US has only been the semi's once back in 2009. They lost 9-4 to Japan. Marcus Stroman would start the championship if they advance. Chris Archer was told not to join the team. The Rays are only allowing him to pitch every 6 days so the US officials told him he wasn't needed.

That was a fun game last until the 11th inning extra inning baserunners rule kicked in. That kind of baseball is an abomination.

Exactly. It was horrible seeing such crap ruin such an jaw dropping game.

Puerto Rico will once again start Seth Lugo against the US. Puerto Rico is trying to become the second team to go 8-0 in the tournament. The Dominican went 8-0 in the 2013 WBC.

Marcus Stroman says he'll be extra motivated for this game. He says people have been harassing him and his mother over his decision to play for the US and not Puerto Rico. Stroman was born in New York but his mother is Puerto Rican.

I don't like that lineup. Here's the lineup I would use tonight.

1 Yelich LF
2 Jones CF
3 Crawford SS
4 Hosmer 1B
5 Posey C
6 Stanton DH
7 Arenado 3B
8 McCutchen RF
9 Kinsler 2B
