ChickenBiscuit
http://bloggingdirty.com/2016/09/19/isnt-vic-beasley-making-impact-thats-expected/5/ A good analysis on why Beasley has been under-performing, with most of the issues seeming to stem from lack of mental discipline. No mention of his famous "dinosaur arms" though.
k-train
Don't get me wrong, Vic has left a lot to be desired thus far... But I'm not ready to worry just yet. If other guys were having success getting to the QB and he wasn't, then i'd start to get worried a little. However, right now it seems to be across the board. IMO that lies with coaching as much, if not more, than its an indication of a player's abilities.
quotemokc
Because we expect him to be our saviour when rushing the passer happens as a unit and the unit isn't performing. If Beasley is the only one on the line that the other team needs to worry about then the QB knows to keep away and an keep an eye on that side. If he was on another DL that had players that could collapse the pocket from the middle and the other end then you would see more production. As it stands he leads the team with 1 sack. FentayeJones
Why is the pass rush always only about Beasley? What has Freeney and Clayborn done so far?

Knight of God
He had a sack, we won the game. I'd say he did enough to win.

Joremarid
Pass rush is a team thing. I don't think Shane ray (drafted same year same round just later) is any more talented then vic but he makes an impact. The difference is what's around him. Vandy
He's only in his second season. Let's let this season play itself fully out before armchair quarterbacking his supposed "lack of mental discipline". as if some journalist or fans know what all that even takes. Anyway......... JDaveG
Article is 1 paragraph long? Or is it just my browser. I somehow expect "analysis" to encompass more than what I saw there.
MAD597
Cause he is just not very good and our defensive coaches don't know how to use him. He's pretty much a bust like every other guy we have drafted or brought in here to help fix the Pass rushing issues. Boils down to coaches that don't know how to use the players and players not talented enough to do it on their own. This has been an issue with this franchise for more than a decade. Abe was good enough to get sacks on his own, NO ONE else we drafted or signed was good enough to do that since. Within this coaching staff he is a bust, a top 10 draft pick should be making SOME type of impact and he has all but disappeared on the field. He is a bust and his coaches aren't helping him any either but it is clear he is not talented enough to break through on his own.

ramonezy
I'll start judging our pass rush next season when DQ gets an off season to focus on it. Last off-season was dedicated to fixing the C, LB, S and TE positions... all of whom are already yielding returns Edited September 20, 2016 by ramonezy
