8 WR's???.....  Nick Williams is gone Robinson has show me a lot more. I don't think Leroy Reynolds is eligible for the practice squad. I say get rid of Terron Ward no need in wasting a spot on the PS Gray and Wilds are better imo

Nope, I only have 7 WRs on the final roster, including Robinson, not 8. I believe LaRoy Reynolds is eligible for the practice squad. The rules were changed so that up to 4 out of the 10 players on the practice squad can have 2 years of accrued NFL seasons, and Reynolds has 2 years of accrued NFL seasons. RB Gray got an injury settlement with the Falcons and has already signed with San Diego. I do have Wilds making the final roster over Ward.

That's almost the exact 53 and PS I have except I have Nick Williams cut and Laroy Reynolds on the 53.

Well great minds tend to think alike :). I can certainly see your point about LB Reynolds making the final roster over WR Williams. I think Reynolds was brought in to primarily take over Nate Stupar's special team role. However, I now think Worrilow will probably fill that special team role that Stupar had, which makes Reynolds a little more expendable. Since Nick Williams has value as a WR and on special teams, I decided to go with him over Reynolds, and stashed Reynolds on the Practice Squad.

Some might question whether QB Matt Simms is eligible for the Practice Squad, since he was on the Jets PS in 2014 and the Falcons PS in 2015, and played in 3 regular season games with the Jets during the 2013 season. I've read articles saying that Simms is eligible for a third year on a practice squad. I believe the following rule and exception applies to Simms:

" A player cannot participate on the practice squad for more than three seasons; he is eligible for a third season only if the team has at least 53 players on its active/inactive list for the duration of that player's employment, or have no prior accrued seasons in the NFL (an accrued season is six or more games on the active roster); or if he has accrued a year of NFL experience on a club's 53-man active roster. If the player was on the active list for fewer than 9 games during their "only Accrued Season(s)", he maintains his eligibility for the practice squad. "

Mike Person makes the team? Wes and Garland are pretty much locks to take his spot

He has Wes and Garland  both listed, Wes as back up LG, and Garland as back up C....you know, that spot that Stone used to hold, before he was cut?  :ninja:

You do know that James Stone was injured and the Falcons signed the most expensive Center in the history of the NFL?

oh? so it matters when Stone got injured and cut, but when the ONLY way he saw the playing field was when someone ahead of him on the depth chart was injured, it was all because he was so talented? yeah, I see why that would work for your agenda  B)

so has he healed from that injury and gone on to be the starting center for some other team? Cause when I google him, google doesn't even auto fill his name until I get to the n in Stone, and google autofills EVERYTHING....bahahaha.

now, go read the list again, and acknowledge that Wes and Garland are indeed listed as well as person. Then go take your meds and sit down a while, we all know bringing up stone has probably got you crying your eyes out over the sad memories of a love that's lost

understand your point

but for years (several coaching changes) they have basically stuck with  the total of WRs + RBs = 10  yea a few times not true but generally true

Good work, Prof.

I am curious about Reynolds' fate as well.  Against Miami,  he was on 1st team kick coverage, punt coverage and punt return teams.  I may not have watched closely enough, but I believe that the only other players with that distinction are Goodwin, Weems, and Worrilow.

my only question is whether or not bryce harris is PS eligible, didn't he play with NO and us for more than 2 years on the 53? or am I confusing him with someone else

Bryce Harris appears eligible for the Practice Squad again this year. He only played for the Saints for one partial season in 2012, before going on IR that year. He did not play for any team in 2013 and 2014. Harris was then signed to the Falcons Practice Squad in 2015, so he should be eligible again for the 2016 PS.
