Drunken Minotaur Zebra
Our defense was hysterically bad in 2014 as well. All the sudden MR starts looking worse... what happened? Koetter left, Scamahan got here. MR is a top 10 QB. He needs to be left to field general ala Peyton Manning (who also looked terrible in the WCO), and not running a 1000 page playbook. nomak
And Quinn brought him here. Those two are in over their heads in their positions. Quinn will only be a good DC and Scamahan a good college qb coach.

Been saying it since mid way of last season.

It's clear this offense isnt a fit for him. Just like Peyton in the WCO. Put him in an offense where he has more freedom and he'll get back to his 2012 self. In '12 I thought he was top 5 even but he hasn't been that dude, not even close. Why does Schaub look so much better? Or even Simms? I'm hoping he gets his confidence back because to me he looks done.

atlGM
2014 was his best season because he started to actually move his feet in the pocket. The scheme doesn't fit but that field general bs. Only won one playoff game and delivered a pick six vs Green Bay and a second half collapse vs San Fran. It's not just the coodinator regular season Matty ice won't win us the big one

zzfrow
While the scheme has changed and there is no doubt that has impacted Matt to some degree, the more worrisome part is that the change in his mechanics has not been a change for the good. His throwing motion is just off. He is throwing more and more balls into the ground than he ever has before. To me that is what would have to be fixed. Ryan said he worked on his mechanics in the off-season and stated that he felt better and more comfortable this seasons than he has in his entire career. But so far in the first 3 pre-season games it hasn't looked that way.

That should be enough to hold on and win the **** game.
FalconJim
Matt Ryan is a pocket passer --- he will never do well in Shamahan, the QB Killer's offense. It was clear tonight that he cannot throw as well, when on the run --- and that seems to affect the other aspects of his game. I say, either get rid of this lousy OC, or (mercifully) trade Ryan, so he can get out of this stupid offense and resume his career, elsewhere! Otherwise, he's going to end up like RGIII, who by the way, seems to be rejuvenated --- and good for him! JJC28
This is not on our QB its this bull crape OC who has never done any thing but kill good QBs. I would be like Cleveland's owner he has got to go! Edited August 26, 2016 by JJC28

MilleniumFalcon
I like Quinn but he never should've brought in Shanny. Adam Gase or sticking with Koetter would've been much better. Sucks but I wouldn't be surprised if we see Ryan struggling again this year (67% completion, 4400 yards, 21 TD, 17 INT's, around an 85-ish QB rating).
