Alabama offensive lineman Cam Robinson and defensive back Laurence Hootie Jones were arrested early Tuesday morning in Monroe, La., according to Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Robinson was charged with misdemeanors of possession and carrying a weapon in the presence of narcotics. He was also charged with the possession of stolen firearms, which is listed as a felony. Robinson’s bond has been set at $750.Jones was charged with the same misdemeanors as Robinson, but not the felony. No bond was listed for Jones.

The arrest occurred around 4 a.m. in Monroe, the players’ hometown. The police report says Sgt. Tommy Crowson saw the pair’s car parked after hours at Forsythe Park. As he approached the car, Crowson caught the scent of marijuana. Once he was close enough, he saw a handgun lying on the lap of one of the players. After arresting them, Crowson found a bag or marijuana on the driver’s floorboard and a stolen handgun under the seat.

A junior, Robinson has been the Crimson Tide’s starting left tackle the past two seasons. Sporting News has him going 14th in its 2017 NFL Mock Draft and as a Preseason All-American. By the end of his sophomore season, Robinson was named to the All-SEC first team by the Associated Press and by conference coaches.

Jones, also a junior, was a reserve safety for Alabama. He played in seven games in 2015 and recorded his two season tackles against Louisiana-Monroe.

The Crimson Tide are on three-week break after the players' spring academic semester wrapped up and their A-Day Game was recorded on April 16 to finish up their spring season. Alabama opens up its 2016 season on September 3 against the USC Trojans at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

I get half of this.  They are 19 and 20 and will do dumb stuff like drugs.  Got it.  the guns are just dumb and stolen on top of that.  Cam just flush millions down the drain.  He will drop in the draft due to stupidity and that is on him.  The drug use I can understand but the guns.  Oh well, not my career we are talking about.
