g-dawg
Lions release Lamar Holmes, sign undrafted DL Louis Palmer Posted by Josh Alper on May 13, 2016, 10:01 AM EDT Getty Images The Lions drafted three offensive linemen including first-round tackle Taylor Decker, which cut down on the space available for some other players vying for roster spots this offseason. One of those players was dropped from the roster altogether on Friday. The Lions announced that they have released tackleLamar Holmes. The Lions signed Holmes in February, a couple of months after he was released from the PUP list by the Falcons with an injury settlement. Holmes, a 2012 third-round pick, started 19 games over the 2013 and 2014 seasons before a broken foot sent him to injured reserve and further issues with the foot led to his stay on the PUP list last year. Undrafted free agent defensive lineman Louis Palmer fills the vacated roster spot in Detroit. Palmer played 48 games at Central Michigan over the last four years. FalconFanSince1970
Throw him in the RG merry-go-round free for all battle royale.
JC Falcon
Example of some physical traits but no mental drive to improve. He flashed talent when he wasn't out of breath, but stamina is his fault. Even as a 3D round pick he was disappointing.
Flying Falcon
I remember when a few on here thought he was the next coming of Mike Kenn or somebody.
*Old Pappy Falcon*
I'll give him credit........He could juggle a recovering fumble backwards looking straight up in the air and not seeing the ball.

Theyhateme : )
Let's not revisit at any cost...sorry..I was a big Holmes supporter...but the culture needs to shift away from anything we've had previously.
Jesus
Darn. He must have really messed up that foot.
THEHEADCOACH
He actually played ok at LT at times, but he did get winded to easy. He actually looked ok at RT before the injury took him down. I never could get him, showed potential at times and struggled some. That said, NO, i do not want him back. Leave him at home or where ever he lands TD! Thing about Mike Kenn though, he would play with broken bones and still outshine anyone on the OL these days.
g-dawg
And, to rub salt in the wound, we scouted Keleche Osemele very heavily - and decided to draft Peter Konz instead. Osemele was the hottest offensive line prospect in free agency this year.
