K26dp
Well, I'm more interested in tonight's game than I would have been otherwise.
Psychic Gibbon
His fastball seems to have movement now, which is nice.

Psychic Gibbon
Throwing that hard in the Minors let him get away with leaving the ball up. That **** doesn't fly in the Majors... well, technically it does as Folty has proven, but I digress. He needs to learn to pitch down ASAP. jidady
I'm not saying he'll always stay that way, but he's a 4A player right now. Having said, it's absolutely amazing that he's pitching in a major league game today given what happened last fall. Seriously, I cannot say enough great things about his dedication and desire to come back from that so quickly. If it were up to me, he'd be on the 60-day DL. Once/If he learns to pitch down in the zone efficiently then he'll be fine with the added movement to his pitches. Until then he'll continue to get crushed and driven out of games early. Unknøwn
Folty did pitch better after the 1st inning.
Unknøwn
Ken Rosenthal did speculate Fredi might be fired after this road trip. Im not sure itll happen yet but its something to watch I guess.
Unknøwn
Mets have Folty's number. He's made 3 starts against them and has a 10.45 ERA and they have a .408 average in those 3 games. They're his papi.

Hate on would imply that I don't think he belongs in the Majors. In reality, he hasn't shown much that he's a starting caliber pitcher as far as I'm concerned so I think he'll eventually wind up in the bullpen. I said it before and I'll say it again: I hope he proves me wrong.

And if he doesn't get there, there's other guys waiting for their shot. But... I still like the arm, and I like the way he's come back from the blood clot. Ransack
How do you throw 98 pitches in 3.2 innings? That's atrocious.

Positive Thinker
Maddux always said you never throw a junk ball on an 0-2 count because it is the ultimate pitchers count. Even Jim Kaat was saying you always throw a ball that starts out in the zone because at 0-2 they will swing at it.
