TheEvilDead1983
https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2016/04/30/draft-2016-nfl-draft-grades-for-all-32-teams/ I actually didn't mind our first round pick. I wish we could have traded down and got Neal later, but that's a small complaint considering we didn't have any offers to trade down. I also like the Hooper pick. I am a little worried about our second round pick Jones though. It's hard to grade a draft before any of the players actually see the field, so I am not going to criticize PFF or any other website grading the draft, as it's all conjecture at this point. Mr. Hoopah!
The browns drafted 4 WR's. I'm calling bull **** on that.
falconfansince66
PFF sux. They are way overrated and I rate them the worst site for NFL information.

FalconKick
The only pick they really criticized was Neal by saying players with his skillset are "littered throughout the draft." Which I call bull on. They also mentioned Dion Jones gets blocked out sometimes. Every other pick they actually had good remarks about so the grade is confusing

Phrootdawg
I respect PFF but i dont think we were the worst. We had a few reaches but they can still benefit the team
Colin_Pernett
I'm pretty sure all our guys had a lot of missed tackles and that kills your score on PFF. Teach this group how to tackle properly and we have a seriously impactful group of players

Osiruz
This is great news. Only way is up from there. The thing is with instant draft grades is they are usually off. I remember the 2013 panthers class getting a C from same website, and it had star and kawann short on it.
Gold4425
Early picks is what they wanted so I'm good with that. I did think in some of the rounds after the 2nd we left some people on the Board who would have put us on another level. But who knows? All we could do is wait and see
Jesus
Who had the worst draft last year? They probably broke up the team and folded the franchise after the season.

We arent the worse if the team moves forward and we wont know that til week 1. Plus i only pay attention to nfc south for the most part. Saints had a good draft. Bucs were decent except for the kicker trade up. I think we came in 3rd in the division

Another overrated draft by them grabbing a RB with the first pick instead of addressing a gaping hole on their defensive line? They had just signed Alfred Morris. Also grabbing a LB in the second who may never even play a snap. Yeah, great draft! Edited May 1, 2016 by falconfansince66
Ewok
I hate how easily the word "reach" is thrown around in draft analysis. It's not a reach if the player you wanted wouldn't be available by your next pick, regardless if he was projected another 10-20 spots later. This whole infatuation with trading down in the first 2 rounds is also ridiculous. It's not easy to complete trades like this and every "expert" talks about it all the time. Stupid. falconstwopercentsized
I can't believe people pay for that ****. I'd rather be sodding public golf courses or making post live mock drafts.
Road Warrior
Some of you young un's won't relate to this but I'd bet that if we just watched the Draft Tracker and took what they claim to be the BPA not only would we get an A+ draft grade but we would also SUCK! JiveAF
Yeah I follow PFF, and even subscribe to them but this is bs. The Panthers drafting 3 of the worst rated CBs in the draft should take the cake tbh.
jidady
I have no idea why football fans are so defensive about sites that offer hard data based off of on-field performance. Everyone has a draft style. Some teams prefer measurables, others like upside, and some prefer players who accomplished great things on the field. PFF evaluates the third category, and they're excellent at it. The fact that they didn't like our draft is troubling. The only upshot of it is that they're still relatively new in grading college players, which means that they'll need several more seasons to streamline and enhance their system. I'm hopeful that quality of opponent is the primary explanation for why so many of our players can't tackle. What bothers me the most is that we've been a bad tackling team for a few seasons now. Adding several more guys with that flaw is alarming.
pzummo
Just curious. What did they give the Seahawks when they drafted Irvin? I remember a ton of outlets raking them over the coals for reaching on him at 15th overall.
