But I thought Dimitroff hated the SEC...?!?

Can't post the whole article from my phone, but from 2006-2015, Atlanta has skewed more heavily toward SEC players than every team except Kansas City.

On the flip side, we have avoided the Big Ten more than anyone but Buffalo.

Big Ten (my nickname by the way) should be looked at more because of the big Offensive linemen

We don't get the good ones though lol..

Jake Matthews is a good one.

Most of the truly good SEC players in the past were taken before us. Misfortune of picking in the late 20s for years.

2008

Chevis Jackson -3

Thomas Brown -6

Keith Zinger -7

2009

Peria Jerry-1

2010

Corey Peters - 2

Mike Johnson - 3

2011

Julio Jones - 1

Akeem Dent - 3

Cliff Matthews 7th

2012-2013

Travian Robertson 7th 2012

2014-

Jake Matthews - 1

2015

Jalen Collins -2

Observations -

Stop taking CBs from LSU.

Everyone but Thomas Brown- injury in preseason - made the team. Got some value from late rounders. Injuries got some like Jerry.

Nobody from "traditional SEC" teams like Florida, TN, Auburn ever.  Mentally I forget A&M or Missouri as part of SEC anyway.

The two 1st round picks are franchise players for our team -Julio and Jake.

Conclusion - since we haven't taken anybody good from the SEC lately (last 4 drafts) except Matthews,  it may not seem like we draft SEC.

Removed Weaherspoon and William Moore since Missouri did not join the SEC until July 2012, making 2013 draft the first to count them as SEC.

When Weatherspoon was drafted, I don't think Missouri was an SEC school was it? Same for WillyMo no?
