Mississippi lost both ends of a double-header to Pensecola.

In Game 1, LHP Michael Mader pitched a 7-inning "complete game" only allowing 1 run to score in the top of the 7th, but that was enough as the Braves only had five baserunners, losing 1-0.

Patrick Weigel is skipping Carolina. Braves promoted him from Rome to Mississippi. Jed Bradley went from AA to AAA.

Weigel had a WHIP of 1.078 and more than a strikeout an inning plus a terrible batting average against in 129 innings at Rome. That's a spectacular season.

For the second time in week, Danville got a bases-loaded walk-off HBP in extra innings to beat Bluefield 6-5. This time it was 3B Marcus Mooney with the honors. For Mooney, getting those HBP seems to be a part of his game, as he's accumulated 21 in 53 games with Danville, helping him to a .379 OBP. LHP Jaret Hellinger continued his good work, and may be making a bid to begin next season in the Rome rotation.
