May the baseball gods have mercy on this pitching staff.

That could happen, but Fredi's handling of the staff could cancel out that mercy.

Mark Bowman says Fredi made it clear Vizcaino is the #1 option late in games. Fredi felt the 8th inning was the biggest inning so Grilli got the 9th.

I don't blame Fredi. He made the right call. He used his best relief pitcher against he most dangerous hitters. That is clearly the right thing to do.

And it would have worked too, if it weren't for that meddling Pierzynski.

Lets see how Fredi reacts. This could scare him away from his new plan and into using Viz exclusively in the 9th.

Let's hope not.

A meeting in Lake Worth, FL turned out a lot of Braves supporters. The Braves prefer to move their Spring home there and the people seem to want it. Reportedly preparing to build a $100M stadium complex on a lake. The Cards, Marlins, Astros and Nats already have stadiums in the area.

That would be cool. Just down the road from West Palm Beach where the Braves and Expos trained all those years before the move to Disney.

In 1969 the Braves and Phillies played each other in 3 straight doubleheaders. July 30, July 31 and August 13.

Braves and Phillies also turned the feat in 2006. September 2, September 3, and September 13. Totally don't remember that.
