Compton, a sixth-round pick out of South Dakota, appeared in 44 games for the Redskins, including a nine-game stint as the starting right tackle in 2014. Last season, though, he appeared in 13 games as a reserve lineman, on special teams and as an extra blocker in the jumbo package. In all, he played 236 snaps on offense.

Played in KS system...

I don't know who folks think is left to sign. This is the second wave of free agency - all that is left are cheap depth signings.

Chris Long is about the only semi-high upside guy left out there.   Maybe Reggie Nelson - both are older and Long has been oft-injured.

Really not sure why we're bringing in guys like this when there are players available who could legitimately compete for a starting spot

There is a reason why RG3 and the rest of Shanny's QB's couldn't stay on the field. They were running for the lives running the crash dummy drill.

I read an article last week on PFT.com about how RG3 was hated by the Redskins o-line because he failed to take the blame for a good bit of the protection problems because of his freelancing style of play, which caused him to take much more sacks than he should have. It said that the Skins o-line played much better with Cousins under center.

I would post the link, but I'm on my phone.

Yeah Chris Cooley said that, but Orakpo, Niles Paul and Ryan Clark came out and said something different. Orakpo even went as far as threating Cooley about those comments.

Remember Washington's current system is not the one RG3 was running when Kyle was there.Matt Ryan struggled to be effective in Kyle's offense because of his lack of mobility. Just from an injury standpoint, Josh Mccown injured, RG3 injured, Matt Schaub injured, lots of the QB's in his system can't stay on the field. I give Matt Ryan a whole bunch of credit for lasting the entire season because he got killed a several naked boots.
