This front office is the Roddy Dangerfield of the NFL.  I'm still struggling to understand why it was a priority to cut Solia NOW with so many holes and the roster and no idea how the draft will play out. It reminds me of how we cut Joe Hawley and didn't have anybody who knew how to snap the ball. Fast forward 8 months we are paying 9.5 million a year for someone to fill the hole.

Former Atlanta Falcons defense tackle Paul Soliai is signing a two-year, $7 million contract with the Panthers, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported, via a source involved in the deal. The new agreement calls for $3 million in guarantees and $4 million in the first year.

Somebody break down these numbers for me. He was schedled to make $5.5 million with us this season. He wouldn't restructure. I wonder what we offered him.....

he is making 3.5 million this season. IF they cut him this season it will be a 3 million dollar cap hit.

Basically.. He still accepted a pay cut, and a similar deal, but he is on a team that might win a Superbowl.. Panthers are just loading-up..Short may play some DE..

The Falcons ran well against them in that last game, and now have added C Mack. The Panthers just added another run-stuffing DT, and they are going to try to stop other teams from doing what The Broncos and Falcons did.
