#1ATLFALCONSFAN
Here's to hoping he can return to this form! The skepticism I've read here due to his injury history is justified but his play on the field was never in question. He was a solid all-around linebacker who made a lot of key plays for us. Excited to have him back! Edited March 11, 2016 by #1ATLFALCONSFAN
Falconsfan567
Let's be completely objective, he also missed more than his fair share of tackles. That play against Matt Forte and the Bears in 2011 still grinds my gears. Just one of many.

YoungHeezy
2012 was going to be the pro bowl season if not for the injury. He was lights out before he got hurt

Yeah I point to that play because it was such a pathetic play. "I'd just go and try to hit the man and see if he goes out of bounds. It don't matter if I actually wrap him up and tackle him." falken
Couldn't we have just mailed him an injury settlement?

Past injuries affecting his future play won't be an issue

I do not think anyone would argue that... the thing I take offense to is the idea that he was not a really really good player when he was healthy. Maybe we can catch lightning in a bottle with him and he has another 2011 type season.
falconsd56
btw http://www.ajc.com/news/sports/football/weatherspoon-admonished-for-key-missed-tackle/nQLg9/ had some steam and thought I could just knock him over,” Weatherspoon said. “He’s a good back. That’s where I have to be smarter and wrap him up.” Weatherspoon caught the wrath of Smith after he went to the sidelines. “That was tough,” Weatherspoon said. “That’s on my mind right now. That’s something that I can’t do.” Yeah that sounds like a guy who just dont care
Drew4719
Wow, that's a nice highlight video, I still remember most of those plays very well. I'll always remember that year more than others. We had so much more talent then.

I've posted it before, but I thought after the 2011 season, in which I thought he should have gone to the Pro Bowl, I thought he was on his way to becoming the best 4-3 Weakside linebacker in football... I really do hope he bounces back but I just can't overlook the fact that that was 2011, and it's bad when we're in 2016 and I have to go all the way back to 2012 to find something good to say about a player. 1 minute ago, SinceDayOne said: "I know right!?!?..." hjerry
FTR, I love Spoon. I loved his attitude and I love him as a player, but he also had some parts to him as a player that drove me crazy, and his injuries drove you up a wall. There are 3 things that I'm hoping here with Spoon: 1. He stays healthy 2. He's been humbled and comes willing to learn 3. that we aren't done adding LBs
