WiscoFalcon
I see a few people here complaining about his lack of production, but we must take into account the fact that he simply was underused in CIN. Sanu was the 5th option in that offense. 1. Green 2. Bernard/Hill in pass and run game 3. Eifert 4. Jones Yeah the price may be a little high, but Sanu is a big receiver and should fill the #2 spot here nicely. He's got his chance to shine here now. A CIN fan that is a friend of mine - " We rarely used him but he is undeniably talented. I felt like we wasted his poential as a Bengal. I hope he gets the time to shine he deserves in Atlanta"
Oh4Real?!
I hope he does well here. But the fact Roddy White was more productive than him last year scares the shxt out of me.
dirtybird2k5
And now he can smoke Alford every day in practice instead of just every four years we play the AFC North.

This move will definitely require some time to wait and see if it was worth it, just trying to help the negative nancies see the positives. Just now, toadfishtom said: we shall see 800 yards 7 touchdowns .........maybe ? 7 TD's for our WR2 would seem so foreign to us after watching this team in the red zone last year. Balls. Jesus
He doesn't have to be great. But he should be able to pick up Roddy's load.

putnam6
Here's where Shanahan's douchebaggery will pay off, he will try and get Sanu enough touches to prove his point about Roddy . As long Sanu doesn't pull a Hankerson, the Falcons will have a more diverse offense and Julio will be used slightly less but more effectively. WiscoFalcon
WalterFootball - image: http://walterfootball.com/images/fball/falconsb_logo.gif Falcons sign WR Mohamed Sanu (5 years, $32.5M; $14M guaranteed): LAUGHING TOO HARD TO CONCENTRATE ON KIELBASA INSERTION Grade Whoever was responsible for this signing needs to be thrown in prison for stupidity. It's that horrible. In fact, it's so terrible that even Matt Millen, who was notorious for overpaying pedestrian receivers, must be laughing at it. The Falcons should apologize to him for spoiling the mood. I don't get the thought process behind this. Sure, the Falcons needed a new No. 2 receiver, but that doesn't mean that they should've thrown $32.5 million at a terrible player. And Sanu is terrible for sure. Sanu caught just 33 balls in 2015, and in the year before, when he was utilized more in the wake of numerous injuries, he led the league in dropped passes, all while struggling to separate. He logged 56 catches for 790 yards. A realistic contract for Sanu should've been a 2-year, $5 million deal with about $1.5 million guaranteed. And that's being generous. It's quite apparent that the Falcons haven't watched any tape of Sanu. Either that, or they're intentionally trying to ruin Millen's afternoon. This guy sure is something... Smh. WOR
I feel like people are judging him like number one. He has some flaws, but not many. That's exactly what you want from a 2. If he was a stud he would be a number one somewhere and out of our range.

I won't hold my breath with his "potential." I've done that for years with the Falcons with guys who end up never doing squat.

I don't think that will be an issue in Atlanta. He's not going to get the 98 targets here that he had in Cincy in 2014. If he does, it means Jones is hurt and we are waiting for next year. AEFalcon
Telling me he is a fifth option and 4th lowest targets while running routes in NFL is not selling me on Sanu. Wouldn't you want higher targets? Not that I'm Anti-Sanu, just waiting to see contract details and how he is used in offense Edited March 10, 2016 by AEFalcon
