Falconcheff
He doesn't rush the passer, and we don't have Demarcus Ware and Von Miller. Honestly, I can't think of a reason why we would want to be in the highest paid linebacker sweepstakes for him...Seems like it would be a splashy signing with little growth potential substance behind it
Moist Words
You know he signed with Bears, right?
DoYouSeeWhatHappensLarry
Quality coverage ability, plays the middle of the field really well, solid run defender. He's a really good player and we've got a massive need at LB. It's not a season killer and it might be a situation where we end up better off with 3 guys than 1 but still, he's a good player and didnt really get game breaking money. k-train
Well, he signed with Chicago several hours ago, so it's completely irrelevant anyhow.
Nino11
Because are only LBs are Warrilow and Reed as of right now. We need a talent infusion and Danny is young and talented

Yeah, but I still see people complaining that we didn't "go for him" or that they'd rather have put the Sanu money into trying for him. I just wanted one of those dudes to explain why they wanted him in the first place... Like Doyousee...Larry did

RS91
Because he's a good linebacker and our linebackers suck.
Arkridge
Because we're in need of linebackers that can run around and cover. Trevathan plays sideline to sideline. Having Jerrell Freeman or Tahir Whitehead would be great consolation though.
RYNE
He's young, fast, and can cover. Would have been a great signing for us. If you add him to what we have done this would have been a great free agency for us.
gazoo
He was so good in coverage he was covering wide receivers even in the Super Bowl. Think about that on our defense, too bad we missed on on him.
Romfal
because our LB's stink
Drunken Minotaur Zebra
We need Jarrell Freeman and Sanu. Then we need to take Shaq Lawson at 17 and hopefully Leonard Floyd at
Since1990
Because he is a good cover linebacker and we have big TE's in our division (Olsen, Seferian-Jenkins and Watson - now Fleener) that we have struggled to cover the past couple off years. xiv_T_E_C_O_
Good cover linebacker, quick, good instincts, fits scheme and filled a need, and great value.
