FA Inside Scoop 3/9

Ok guys, didn't want to put all my info out there yet as I usually reserve some for the draft, but my guy is upset about all the bad info that has got Falcon land upset over Sanu.

We are interested in Sanu, but nowhere near 7 per. Likely around 5.

Boykin wants to come back to ATL but is doing diligence in testing the market as advised by his agent.

Freeman will be a Falcon likely by the end of the night, first reported by Vaughn.

Mack always had ATL in his sights, but didn't want to do CLE dirty, but was thinks he is doing the right decision as CLE is currently being purged and the FO don't know how to talk to players.

Grimes is likely done in the NFL with contenders. You know the reason why.

slight interest in Toby Gerhart to be our goalline back.

The team was attracted to Mario at first, but as turned off by his comments of going to the highest bidder. Feel that was indicitive he had no intentions to compete.

I'll be happy to answer any questions and if you are skeptical about my validity, check out my history and how I was the first to dispel the Dianna tweet being inaccurate as well as updating the Derrick Morgan drama in the past.

We did good today guys. Mack is a huge get, so will Freeman.

Thanks, Stizz. Too many Madden fans think that players automatically want to play for their favorite teams and that offering $2 more on a contract will bring them. In fact, players typically leave their original teams because of money, but that's not the main reason they sign with another one. If more than one team is interested, then things like family considerations, overall quality of life, income tax rates, and scheme fit become important. They're not going to sign with us "just because".

Glad to hear it's not near $7M for Sanu .. $5M sounds better, although for his production and WR status, a little high.  Not sure about anyone else, but I like Freeman. Good sound LB who will man the inside.   I was hoping for Trevathan, but I'm totally fine with having made Mack the main target. He'll be turning 30, but we'll get a few good years out of him and assume the team will be addressing depth and the future in the draft.  I like Boykin as well.  I'd say so far so good.  We do desperately need one starting OG as well pass rush end - perhaps the draft for both (Dodd/Lawson - 1st, Whitehair - 2nd).

Do they have their eyes on anyone at Safety? Any TEs that they are interested in like Jared Cook?

true. The money for Irvin wasn't outrageous, but you figure if we were in the ballpark (this I don't know), he would have come back home. ATL is a top 10 city across the board in every living category pretty much except traffic.

Long story short.....we need to or should've over paid for a pass rusher. That's the only way to do it for the upcoming  season. But then again TD has been doing this same sh!t for 9 yrs

So you think we are contending for the super bowl next year, right??

With this 'crap roster' that TD assembled, according to you?

Because that is the ONLY reason we should be overpaying a pass rusher.

So which is it?

What's the news with Trevethan?

offered him something nearly identical at 4 years, dude was just comfortable with Fox. can't be upset at that although I was earlier before I found out the details.

I like the Freeman signing if it happens. I know he is good in coverage.

It's some progress. I would like N.Bradham too if Freeman is going to play inside (I hope)

Bradham and Freeman would certainly abate the coverage issues.

Boykin coming in would be really nice. No more letting the other team throw 90% of their passes at our slot guy and getting smoked.
