Mario Williams visiting Dolphins

Recommended Posts

My thoughts are wtf are the Dolphins doing?

I guess they hope someone snags Vernon on that tag.

They're gonna pay Mario, wake, suh, and Vernon? Plus soon Jordan has a 6 million cap hit.

not to mention they're 3 million over the cap already without Mario. I don't see it.

Knowing the Falcons they aren't even remotely interested.

They either want someone with an injury history, a career backup, or someone at the end of their career.

When you want cheap you get cheap...

It makes me miss the days of McKay as GM and we brought in free agents like Rod Coleman and John Abraham...

That's surprising giving their cap situation. Maybe they cut Wake?? Suh's contract is nuts and will be reworked at some point to lessen the cap #s.

Not cutting Wake. There's been many reports on how they believe Wake can still be their premier edge rusher. He was having a great year before injury last season.

We got Abe via trade I think.

Let this be a lesson to everyone that having a great D-line that can rush the passer is awesome but it doesn't make your team instantly great.

I guess that the Dolphins just haven't learned their lesson. You'd think, after last year, they'd realize that they need to spend their money more wisely.

Maybe Suh called him up, and told him how much money that he could get overpaid there, while putting in less effort.

Because they thought it was a good idea to pay a defensive lineman from another team $115 million last year, they are now lacking the funds to keep their own players, such as Vernon and Shelby.

This folks, is why you don't build your team through free agency.

We did trade for him because the Jets tagged him and then Seattle got involved but it was basically free agency.

It ended up being some crazy 3-4 team trade but ultimately cost us a first rounder.

It just goes to show in the last 16 years the only way the Falcons improved the pass rush wasn't through the draft...

if they want to make the pass rush better it's going to cost them one way or another...
