ShanghaiDirtyBird
In my eyes: he's become a great guy. He did a bad thing, but the price he paid was excessive. I feel no anger at all.
Francis York Morgan
The price he paid was excessive? Dude should still be in jail. You can't be serious.

Donte Stallworth killed a person while driving drunk and spent 30 days in jail. Josh Brent the same: 60 days in jail. Roethlisburger raped a woman ("allegedly"). Not even charged. Vick spent almost TWO YEARS in prison. One of us is not serious but it's not me

But in a country where everything depends on the money you have and not the crimes committed, people get off too easy. The Koch brothers should be jailed, but they get off by throwing around money. But not trying to get off topic. Forgive him sure, but no one should feel bad for not liking him.
Monolith2001
Nostalgia. Wouldn't be on this board if not for him. Plus I ain't the type to hold onto old negative stuff.

YoungHeezy
Not nostalgia. If he cared to actually work on his craft with all of his natural talent we probaby could've won a Lombardi already. In hindsight he was excitingly average.

*Old Pappy Falcon*
The same.............fumble after fumble, int, and too predictable for running. Glad it's over. But I guess some still think he's a legend or something.

Positive Thinker
More anger. We moved up to #1 pick to get him. Such great raw talent, but he didn't work to improve and became nothing but wasted God-given talent and he left the franchise in shambles and an embarrassment. The hiring of gutless scum Petrino didn't help.
dirtybird2k5
Love Vick. Most exciting player in the history of the Atlanta Falcons. And for everyone and anyone that wants to be mad about him fighting dogs, I understand. But as a kid raised in the streets, dog fighting isn't that far fetched. I suppose you have to look at things from a different perspective, but not many people can do that. I can. Many people are quick to judge, especially people that call themselves Christian. Which I find curious. But whatever. Glad to have the dude on the squad. Much love to number seven and don't forget Roddy's t-shirt.

*Old Pappy Falcon*
Much feeling used as fan to number 7. I'll admit, I loved the guy at first, but you could just see he didn't give a rat's azz win or lose. I ain't even touchin the legal stuff. That's not What I'm saying. He flat out didn't give a flak!!!
Tribal Chief
Never cared about the off field issues, just never liked him as a qb and always thought he was extremely overrated

atlshocker
If he didnt get in trouble he would of broke crazy records and our 07 season wouldve been hype. What happened, happened and glad we was able to get Matt Ryan.

jeffro2000
I was a huge fan. Ordered his jersey the day he was drafted among many others of his thru the yrs. Found this board/website to watch his 1st preseason game. Super exciting player. About 5yrs into it, I realized it wasn't going to happen for him. The dogfighting was deplorable to me, but I believe in 2nd chances. I can forgive for that. The lack of commitment, I wont forgive him for. All the talent, but didn't watch film, didn't put in the work, everything. Got other guys busting their *** and he didnt. Then he has the audacity to speak negative about this organization while in Philly. $100m contract and you blow it on the field and off. I wish he would've put in the effort while here like he did in Philly. Coaching is to blame to. I don't feel any anger towards him; not important enough too. He changed and that is good, but just a waste of talent. Amazing we recovered as a franchise as quickly as we did. trubirdfan4life
Vick was awesome when he was here...took us to the nfc championship game, with peerless price and dez white....wow. the guy played hard...too hard in fact...he got in trouble and paid for it. Both his on field play and off field transgressions are behind me. We all have done things that could wind us in jail, some get caught, some dont. I could never hold a grudge against a person who does something and pays a price for it...then later shows growth. Anybody can hold a grudge and criticize. It takes a mature mindset to move beyond what a person once was and look at who they are, or who they are trying to be.

Agreed from what I know at least to me dog fighting is way more common than people know. To me dog is literally nothing more than an animal, and to others it's family, and to me that's where things get weird. Really the sad part about the Vick case had he not been making money I don't think he does time.
