ryanadonis
If Jerry RIce played at the level Roddy White did his career, there would be no Jerry Rice. Roddy White is way too over hyped only because of his character and personality. Time to move on and get real talent

Roddy White was between good and very good at the absolute peak of his career. Julio has already eclipsed Roddys absolute best by a country mile. He's gone people so get over it and if he goes to a Tampa then great...maybe somebody Jalen Collins can actually cover.

From 2009-2011 Roddy White averaged 100 catches, 1279 yards and 10 touchdowns a season, That's a little bit more than just very good. That was a great run. To take it one step farther, from 2007-2012 Roddy averaged 94 catches, 1296 yards and 8 touchdowns a season. Again, greatness!! Roddy White is 33rd all-time in NFL history in catches. That means in the entire 95-year history of the NFL only 32 men have caught more passes than Roddy White. Roddy White is 35th all-time in NFL history in yards. That means in the entire 95-year history of the NFL only 34 men have gained more yards through the air than Roddy White. Sure he's not going to get in the HOF but anyone that thinks Roddy White wasn't a great NFL receiver as currently stands the greatest WR to ever wear the Falcons red and black needs to GTFO and go become a fan of another team because you don't appreciate true greatness when you see it. Rather you do not have a clue what greatness is if you call Roddy White "great". It's the era of football more than White standing above his peers. In the throw happy era of football... How many other WR's put up better numbers? Can't have 10 "great" receivers in a year or even an era. "Great" is reserved for players like Jerry Rice, Calvin Johnson,Randy Moss and even a Julio Jones and Antonia Bryant last year. Very good WR's are your Larry Fitz, Andre Johnson, Marvin Harrisons, and Tory Holts . Then there is players like Roddy White is on the same level as a Reggie Wayne, Boldin, Steve Smith, Isaac Bruce and I'm sure I missed some. He was good to very good receiver in the historical context of the NFL..Period.
