Abeasley27
I'm sitting here thinking about how I'd love to have Mario Williams, Chris Long, or Charles Johnson, but what about JPP. He's younger than all of these guys and could be a long term option opposite of Vic . What's you guys thoughts and opinions?? Romfal
I'd be down, especially if he wants to prove his hand is not an issue for a shorter contract.
xiv_T_E_C_O_
I don't know, you can't tell me the condition his hand is in won't affect his gameplay. He still may be very good but I don't think he'll ever be what he was, and he probably wants to get paid close to it.

I'd be down for a short 2 maybe 3 year deal with some incentives and options

Falcons_Frenzy
I think his best football is behind him. I don't think any team will be foolish enough to sign him quick to a big deal. He needs to prove he can be the player he once was with a 1 year deal.

atlGM
I've been contemplating the idea as well. I'd love to get Mario and feel good about Charles Johnson but JPP is most cost effective signing we could make. He may not be what he was but he still has elite athleticism and get off that would make an impact on our d line

clownorg
Not trying to be an asshat, But how do you grab someone to tackle missing a thumb. He'll have NO grip to take down a runner or an escaping QB on 1 side of him. Trying to be an asshat...
Big Bubba
Jpp is a guy that I think may go to the Panthers. The Panther' GM is the one that scouted him out for the Giants, back when he was coming out of college. He is probably going to be #1 on their radar. PokerSteve
Quite simply, JPP is now damaged goods. I can't imagine risking any money on a one-handed pass rusher any more than I'd sign a one-legged RB. I wishhim the best for the rest of his life, but his football days are basically over. g-dawg
what is it with you guys and "one-armed passrushers"? First Clayborn and now JPP

jeffro2000
He is suppose to be able to play with just a glove on this yr not the club. He was disruptive last yr despite the lack of sacks. For a guy with no camp, half a season, not in football shape, 1 handed, he played really well. The hand is an issue, but if his price is reasonable and not 2 handed JPP money, then someone is going to get a good player for a good price. k-train
Other than Abe, our pass rush for years has been guys getting close but not being able to finish the job. That's what JPP is now. Yeah, he can still get to the QB, but with one hand, he just cannot get the QB down once he's there. He'd also be near useless against the run since he can't grasp onto RBs. Why pay for the same 'ol same 'ol?
DonDaLuvMaker
JPP reportedly had went under surgery to improve his grip on his bad hand about a month or so ago. I wonder how more effective his hand is now?
