Tribal Chief
I really don't give a rats arse about Roddy being cut. Been saying it for months so it's not a surprise nor does it hurt my feelings but I ran across these little tid bits that may or may not have been posted already. If so, oh well

Jesus
Must be a rookie they are really high on. Maybe more than one.

Think I read somewhere that they were watching the WR group closely. May have been another position.
HEIST
Shouldn't be hard to replace 500 yards if they really want to.
KRUNKuno
Unless we draft Josh Doctson, this move was made in ignorance and handled hideously. The season has been long over and not once has Roddy been approached by the FO about anything concerning his status here. This move was made months ago when Roddy criticized boy wonder. falconcrest58
No choice but to cut Roddy ....no way you can pay a 3rd WR that kind of money
Spts1
But somehow.........Kroy Biermann STAY on that roster..............lmao Edited March 3, 2016 by slickgadawg
blkbigdog35
Hate to see Roddy go but I expect them to address that #2 spot quickly. Personally I would prefer Benjamin but if not would like to have fuller.
Atlantafan21
Kind of odd, no receivers impressed me that much at that combine.
FentayeJones
Loved Roddy over the years but it was time. He cant really play outside anymore and we have younger cheaper options in the slot so he is not needed there. A 34 year old Roddy is not going to all of a sudden turn back into the Roddy of three years ago
Clark Kent™
I've been on board to cut him as well. Especially because this WR class is pretty good. Gimme Sterling Shephard in the 2nd i'll do backflips, but there will be plenty of WRs in the 3rd and 4th round as well. And we very well could trade back since we don't have a 5th or 6th. I sincerely hope we trade back as far as possible. IDGAF if we even give up our first round completely to stock up on the 2nd/3rd/4th. We have a lot of holes to fill and this draft is deep. falconfansince66
They usually say when one door closes, another one opens. Such is the case if you're a Patriots fan but being a 50 year fan of this team, maybe it's about time we joined that club? They better sign a darned good LB and build a "D" here that is second to NONE within two years. Oh yeah, better find a good replacement for Roddy while you're at it... What.....This is the worst WR class in quite some time. Probably since 2009, which was terrible.
MoFalconsFan56
And how will one first round draft pick get us numerous 2/3/4 round picks

I agree....Even thought this staff may win a Superbowl.....Mostly because of Quinn's defense though... Yes. It's probably because of "They figured us out!"..(Just my opinion...I have no real proof) Add the money too...Plus Fuller from ND wanting be be drafted by The Falcons.. And other WR options in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.
