ShanghaiDirtyBird
At least from what I'm reading from several places, he will play weak side linebacker. Discuss...

Discuss... Yeah, usually the tween guys end up more likely to bulk up for linebacker than get skinny for safety. My money would be on Cravens as a LB, but if so, he is gonna need to get thicker. youngbloodz
He is a playmaker. Would love it if we get him. Favorite player in the draft
Lornoth
Doesn't matter where he plays, he'll be a good player. Besides, we need safeties and LB'ers, so not sure what the difference really is.
RazorWing
Sua Cravens is a talent,No doubt. He is a new wave of a hybrid lb/safety. Like Deone Bucannon in arizona. I heard he is compared to polamalu.
KRUNKuno
I think it depends on where he goes and what teams have in store for him. William Moore is practically the same size with less agility and made a career out of being our SS. I think in our scheme he could definitely play SS. will do both DB and LB drills at his pro day. Clark Kent™
Pretty sure its common knowledge to most that he will be playing WLB or a position similar. I never understood all the safety talk with him. His style of play at USC was never that of your basic safety.
FalconFan13
I would say he could play SS for us in this scheme or in Seattle or Jacksonville. The Ss is more of a in the box SS/LB hybrid who can cover TE's and Rb's well in short distances but can also lay the wood in run support. Kam is alot like this and Cravens could probably play that role well if need be.

Dem Birds
I wasnt too familiar with him outside of his name until earlier when I got to one of his highlight videos. I had a hard time figuring out where he was playing at because he was every freaking where. Backfield, down field, out on the edges, quite impressive. I'd love to have him in the second
hjerry
depends on what you mean by "safety"

Bobby.Digital
Depends on the scheme. He'd be a SS here imo and he's defiently an option at 17. Edited February 28, 2016 by Bobby.Digital

takeitdown
I think the SS/OLB distinction is a lot more blurred than it used to be. He's unlikely to play a pass oriented "interchangeable safety" scheme at SS. But playing an old school SS could work. Or a big nickel SS (though we don't play that a ton). Or a passing down OLB. Those are all sort of the same position. To play a true typical LB he will need more thickness, and shed ability. To play true S he will need better swivel and pass awareness. But for those first 3 positions, should be good to go immediately.
