i discovered a little app called Plex recently.  i am sure most of yáll have already heard of it cause from what i understand it is pretty popular.  Well what made it cool IMO is it allows you to set up channels of any kind and access them from where ever.  So for instance with me i have a channel set up with all my archived Falcons games i have saved over the years, and things like that i have downloaded and whatnot.  It also has preset channels like NFLN, ESPN, PFT, etc ... then you can set it for the Falcons as your team and get tons and tons of news and videos to watch.  i have been addicted to this thing for days now.  Watching all my old games from my phone everywhere i go, steady watching news and vids.  Very cool app!

Oh and the other very cool part, just wasn't Falcons related is that you have access to your entire music library from anywhere as well.  It is absolutely nice being able to access my 20,000 or so songs and listen to what i want to, when i want to as well.

Plex is awesome. If you have friends with it you can also access each other's media libraries, music, movies, whatever. I'll have to check out the preset channels, didn't even know that was a thing.

Plex is great. I use it to PIRATED VIDEO IS ILLEGAL movies, shows and music at home. Of course since I have a second router on my internet (for Xfinity Home), I can't get it to allow me to watch from anywhere. But the service is a great way to manage any media you have and watch via streaming devices. Thanks to Tuggle's advice a year or two ago, I have been building a pretty robust library of movies and TV shows.

Also, I have found that there are torrents of the games after they are over. I may ditch NFL Ticket to watch at a bar and just download the games the next day so I have them.

Plex sucks. Use Kodi media player. It is free and you can customize it with add ons.

Further proof that you can't discuss anything tech-related on the internet without someone needing to rain on the parade. Heh

Actually you can. My response is comes with experience using both products. This is not about being a fan boy of one product vs another. This is about helping those seeking a goal to fulfill it.

Technically Plex is a offshoot of Kodi, that those particular programmers decided to charge people for. So when I say it "sucks", it is not because the software is bad, but it requires the person to pay for what you can get for free with Kodi.

Basically you are whining about me "rain on the parade" by telling you about something that is better. I am not even talking about slightly better, but WAAAAAAAAAY better. That is a problem because . . .?

If it's not bad software, wouldn't that mean it doesn't suck? It's PAYING for it that sucks. Your post came across like you felt it was a bad product.

In any event, I was trying to be tongue-in-cheek. Oh well.

I would mention all the reasons why Kodi is better but I don't want to get banned. The point is all the stuff that Plex can do Kodi can do and more for free. That is all I am saying.

There are youtube channels where people are devoted in sharing what are the best repositories for Kodi, that have builds, wizards, video and audio add-ons and more. It is like the Firefox of media players because people make their own addons and share it with others to use.
