Stop..stop...stop it

We are not the safe asylum of all players over the age of 30 who get cut by NFL teams.

Daily I receive alert on my phone pertaining to players not being resigned or cut.  Within minutes of me reading that,  someone has already posted it here and suggesting we give this guy or that guy a try.  Please just stop it.  I understand that some of the guys are just cap casualties and may have something to offer.  One the other hand, most of these guys have been released or cut for a reason.

Atlanta cannot and will not build the type of team we fancy by taking in all the players nobody else wants.

Yeah Demarcus Ware, Aquib Talib, and Evan Mathis didn't work out for the Broncos. Thank goodness they signed that young Peyton Manning.

I think it's a matter of opinion. If I saw a guy play and think he would be an upgrade to the Falcons I may want him to get signed. But you may have seen something different or just don't want a guy because of his age. Some guys, regardless of age, just need a change of scenery, and  could offer a lot to a new team.

If you think Laurinitus, Chris Long, Jared Cook, Riley Cooper, Colston, or anyone this offseason so far compare to that then you're gonna have a bad time.

lmao!

This place has been like that for as long as i can remember.  While i know folks are being serious with their ideas, i have long since seen it as a joke and just laugh at the person who posted it.  :D

The question was asked last year about Chad Incognito. Everyone said no way. Well, the dude decided to play nice and made the pro bowl. He played a position of need and we passed because of the stupid Falcons filter.

Exactly. Most ppl here thought Richie Incognito would have been a bad pickup last year. But I'm pretty sure this team could have used a pro bowl caliber guard last year

Well they're the exception to the rule as they were vying for a championchip.  It is always good to invest in youth.   If we were a team who is on the verge of something big, then sure.  But OP does have a fairly good point.

Thing some people don't realize, its just a bunch of suggestions. Why not add them into the thinking of this team? Just jogs ideas. We have no authority anyways.

Now you know i am all about open conversation and have always been in the school of thinking that the only dumb question is the one not asked.  That said, it is beyond obvious the majority of the time the person made the 'sign so and so' post just to make a thread and get some attention of whatever it is people crave when it comes to that.

I figured out a great way to get over posts that I find irritating or nonsensical and I'm glad to share it with you all. When I find something silly on a message board, I don't read it. Who would have known the solution to one of life's great problems was so easily attainable?

You're welcome.
