ike barn87987
In speaking to multiple sources, it's clear #Dolphins WR Rishard Matthews is very likely to hit free agency. Market for him will be hot. Matthews had a helluva run last season despite the turmoil Miami was dealing with. Finished the year with 43 receptions, 662 yards, 4 TDs. To be clear, the #Dolphins were interested in keeping Matthews as @AdamHBeasley said. Matthews wants to test market. https://t.co/mMmA8jgvrh Per Rand Getlin
Jesus
He's got over pay written all over him.
The O.D.B
I'd love for us to get him. He'd be a perfect fit at #2.

Tribal Chief
He will be someone's #2. Let's at least keep the overkill of free agent threads realistic
etherdome
Honestly, we need a reliable TE. Tamme is OK, but apparently past his prime. Toilolo simply is not the answer. We need a TE. We have Julio and Justin Hardy. Oh, and we still have Roddy White. In my opinion, the whole lot of them need to get to Miami ASAP and take their passing camp seriously. If Roddy is dropped, then we can worry about signing a reliable vet.

I'd love to have him, but for a reasonable price for a #2 guy. I don't see him being a #1 for anyone, but someone will probably pay him that way. PHALCONABERNATHY
Perfect #2 for the right price.

Agreed but think a WR starved team is gonna try to make him a #1. I could see him in a Viking uni next season.
Atlfanstckndenver
This is one of those "in an ideal world" scenarios. Sure he would make a nice option opposite of Julio. There's a few problems though, the fact that he's going to be unrestricted in this year's market in particular, combined with the lack of talented free agents at his position=BIG MONEY. He's going to get payer pretty well imo, especially for being just a solid #2. Again though, if we can get him with an ideal salary that's team friendly, go for it. I actually think this team is preparing to bring in some free agents. I realize what dead led has been reporting, and I'm not necessarily saying that we will be going for prime contract players like a Malique Jackson. I also don't believe that we're just going to strictly rule out any big producers. I just think Flowery Branch is trying to keep their books open and flexible in case we find some good fits. apl2g
Yea I see him making #1 money while putting up #2 stats. He will get paid because there isn't that many #1's hitting the market so some team will pay him and try to make him a #1.
PHALCONABERNATHY
It depends on if we're actually looking for a WR in free agency. There's plenty out there that could be given number 1 money and trusted with that role. I don't think Matthews deserves that but if that's what he wants, there's no way he'll get signed here.
