Antonio Cromartie Cut

Yep, throw this FA thread in with the rest. He's 31, coming off his worse season imo, and could be "cheap". Him opposite of Trufant, with Alford in the slot seems interesting. He's not a need so it really doesn't matter. Just giving an update on FA's that are well known.

Wait didn't we burn a 2nd round pick last year on Collins. The fact that you even bring up Cromartie is the point that some of us have been hammering home...Collins is flat out bust.

He was a rookie. Please delete your account.

No, No it's not hammering anything home. Everyone but the children knew Collins would need a lot of work. Many of us where disappointed in his rookies season and are holding our breath in anticipation of what we'll see this year. Most people wanting a CB are looking for someone to replace Adams and to be an insurance policy for Collins.

You do realize we only have 4 corners on the team right? No matter how you look at it, we have to sign one.

I also realize that the team was 10-22 prior to last season. You know what 10-22 teams don't do...that is draft projects. A project that may have had the worse football instincts that I can remember in 30+ years watch this franchise. But you guys know better...teach me how to cheer for a team that constantly disappoints. Better yet let's see if you are around after a 6-10 2016.

I think it is a little early for that. Do you remember what Roddy White looked like into his 4th season? Collins is raw with limited college experience at the position. He is getting on the job training. You may ultimately be right, but I really do think it is WAY to early to call it. If you don't think Roddy is a good example, look at Grimes his first 2 years. Mushin Muhammad made him look like a boy chasing a man around every time we played them. I said, "He will never match up with big physical receivers." Boy, was I wrong. He was completed owned, but he got better with time.

I knew mentioning a CB would bring out the Collins/bust folks. I'm not a fan of Collins because of us drafting him as a project in the 2nd. rd (even though graded @2nd rd), not because I think he is a bust. We should get an idea of Collins' future by the end of the 2017 season.

Keith, you're spot on. When you're a team like us, you don't have the resources or time to be drafting projects with your highest picks.  You need the best sure thing on the board that will be able to help your team that year. You leave the projects for the lower rounds.

I for one will still be cheering. You will still be complaining and pretending to be a fan. I have seen far worse Falcons teams and front offices and coaching staffs than this. Frankly, I'm optimistic.
