ike barn87987
I definitely don't think it will be another rookie DE. My guess is a LB'er or DT. I like Rankins or Lee.
Ben Day Hoe
Would love to get a pocket pusher and immediate impact player like Rankins. We are going wide ope BPA this year!
Adam25
I think we address DE in FA, so I'll go Darron Lee, LB Ohio St.
Sobeit
I'm leaning Lee because we want to get faster and I think Smith and Jack will be gone but I do not see a lot of drop off between the 3. I think they will all be impact players and Lee may end up the best but just lacks experience at the position.

CTann
Right now I think it's an absolute crapshoot. I think that free agency will give us a better idea as to how the team looks to approach the draft. Lee, Ragland, Lawson, Ogbah, Bullard, Billings, Rankins, and probably someone else who I'm forgetting at the moment. That is with the assumption that both Myles Jack and Jaylon Smith are gone by 17. My ideal haul would be Lee in the 1st and Bullard in the 2nd. Every time I watch Bullard I am more impressed for his size he is explosive and powerful plus he can play inside plus he has a killer motor. I'm hoping he does not start shooting up draft boards Edited February 23, 2016 by Sobeit
Falcon Fred
I would like to see a DE or OLB. We obviously need to improve our Pass Rush. It looked like it was beginning to come together at the end of the season, but we need more talent on the defensive front.

I don't know if this came from the Jags or the fans who have a tendency to pair former teammates together (See: Mizzou, Clemson) but it makes sense. Jags could get Jalen Ramsey in the first and Bullard in the second and their defense is already looking much better on paper.
Unintentional Grounding
Either Kevin Dodd Or Shaq Lawson
ike barn87987
Mayock: #OhioState LB Darron Lee has gained steam in past month. He's a (pick) 20-32 guy for me. Edited February 23, 2016 by ike barn87987
Ben Day Hoe
Free agency will help us all figure out who the first pick might be. At least the list will narrow anyway. At this point its BPA on defense IMHO

ike barn87987
After Smith and Jack there's only 2 LB that fit what DQ likes. Lee and Jones. Especially Lee because he's fast, athletic, and long. Jones is perfect for rd 2, but Lee is probably at the top of our board because he would be in our range and we can go DT 2nd rd. Sobeit
yeah I got it. Just thinking while I think he makes it to the 2nd I agree that there is a good chance he wont make it to us, but think that he may actually be worth moving up to take. I think he is a great scheme fit here and can play DE and DT.

I would love Clark or Butler in the 2nd if we can get Lee in the 1st. We might have a better chance at Clark in the 2nd tho. Can't see him on the nose. His gifts are best used on the move, not trying to hold POA Per Charles Davis on Bullard
g-dawg
I see pass rusher over linebacker. Just look at Denver which has the best pass rusher (Von Miller) and the best linebacker (Danny Trevathan) in free agency. Miller will get $16mm/yr and Trevathan will get half that. Unless the talent disparity is vast, you take the more impact full position - pass rusher - in the first round. Noah Spence Kevin Dodd Shaq Lawson . Emmanuel Ogbah in that order

OBXFalcon
We still have to wait for free agency to shake out; but at this point right now I think we draft the best linebacker on the board at #17.

You get it. With Bullard's skill set and what Quinn did with Bennett this would be the perfect landing spot for Bullard. I could live with a 3rd down package of Clayborn Jarrett Bullard, Beasley, Lee, Whitehead, and Reed. chris2010
If Noah Spence checks out with his past, it will be hard to pass on him. Like Lee as well because we need to get faster at LB.
