Current national polls suggest Sanders would fare better. The problem there is that national polls this early mean close to nothing plus Sanders has yet to actually be attacked in a meaningful way. If he were to face someone who doesn't need to walk on egg shells as to not upset his supporters then he'll be burned at the stake for stuff like:

• Socialist by his own admission

• Supported Sandinistas over America

• Created "Sister cities" for Vermont in Soviet/Socialist nations

• Honeymoon in USSR

• Soviet Flag in Burlington office

• Calls Eugene Debs a personal hero and has/had his picture in his Office in DC

• No success in life/steady job/stability outside of government

• Rape Essay stating all women fantasize about being gang bang raped.

• Tax hikes

• Unrealistic policy goals- Even Democrats don't support them

• Voted to ship Vermont's nuclear waste to poor Hispanic town in Texas

• Age

• Ignored early reports of VA issues and dismissed them as a GOP conspiracy

• Has Super PAC and Hybrid PAC support => Hypocrisy

• Claimed cervical Cancer caused by lack of orgasms

• Anti-nuclear

• Poor personal financial planning (low personal net worth despite a quarter century of Congressional paychecks)

• Living in a Marxist-Leninist commune for months

• Leading the charge for ‘No Guns for Israel’ before and during the Yom Kippur War

• Abysmal record of accomplishments in Congress despite being there for 25 years

And so on and so forth. What would make it all worse is that since Hillary is using none of this it would all be fresh for the general election which would make them more damaging when it matters the most.

And Obama palled around with terrorists and sat in the pews of Reverend Wright's church. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

In this populist, anti-establishment environment, nominating the candidate who's the very personification of the establishment and bursting at the seams with special interest money might not be the best strategy.

I think it is awesome  that Berne honeymooned in USER and stood in a bread line. Nyet, Nyet.

Rumor going around of a Trump-Rubio ticket. Would Republicans support that?

I think using Rubio as a token hispanic is not going to work, especially since his favorability among hispanics is pretty low and the fact that Trump cannot run away from his deportation comments. Maybe it could help deliver Fla, but I am not sure.

Trump/Rubio not going to help, Rubio worse than Trump (straight up neo-con).  I'm hoping any combination of Clinton/Sanders being my first choice, with Clinton/Castro being the counter if necessary.

I know it might not happen, since Clinton/Castro seems to be the big one people are throwing out there, but I would love a Clinton/Booker ticket.

How is she the token when she is at the top of the ticket and the one with the most experience.

Nah GaFan, that was aimed at WfW (aka Ol' Man to me) for his token white lady comment.  I have no problems with Booker, but Hillary is going to need either Bernie or Castro to pull this off successfully!

.@VicenteFoxQue on @realDonaldTrump plan: "I'm not going to pay for that f***ing wall" http://cnn.it/1QgKfQc

"I'm not going to pay for that f***ing wall" AND YOU CAN'T MAKE US, AND DON'T EVEN THINK OF TAKING IT OUT OF THE $200,000,000.00 YOUR COUNTRY GIVES MEXICO EACH YEAR, CAUSE THAT WOULD REALLY P*** ME OFF. GRRR

This is a joke, especially when that idiot was a joke when he was actually in charge. Vincente Fox, another in the long line of penniless Mexican politicians who somehow retire as millionaires.

You think Trump is bad? **** this guy. Really

I don't know, I thought Rubio was holding his own against Trump.  Also think that Trump is getting slammed from both sides on stage.

Rubio is trying to get a kill shot which doesn't work with Trump since he'll just talk over you. Cruz does what you need to against him: Parry his attacks, get him frustrated, and make him say questionable things for the conservative audience.
