They are the team that may bypass all of the defensive talent in the 1st like Mayock is saying. Boyd, and others are good too...Not sure about 17 though...with no pass-rush... I think The Falcons add O-line, WR, and TE in Free Agency though..., and leave the defense to Quinn and Pioli during the draft... They don't have time to wait on a prospect to help Ryan look great again. They've been burned a few times on Free Agency on defense too... They've been burned drafting O-linemen early... If they cannot sign a very, very good D-Lineman like Mario Williams or Vernon, I think that they will focus on Offense in Free Agency.....Maybe they released Durant to sign Irvin, but that's it... 1st may be a DT instead of a DE...(D-Line Coach Cox is leaving way too many negative hints about someone on the D-Line.... Irvin and Beasley would both be DEs in passing situations--with Jarret and a DE moving inside) 2nd round may be a SS or MLB.

Hashbrown3
Somebody put up a poll and settle this thing once and for all. All the WR in the first round folks vs bolstering our Dline???? Another shiny new hood ornament vs a QB wrecker? LOL. ****, I'll take a OLB, S, or Hybrid guy before I go WR too. If a poll were taken, I think it would be fairly lopsided against taking a #2 WR at 17th overall. Because that's exactly what he'd be on our depth chart. Does that mean I don't like WR's in this draft. Heck no! I love several guys especially Coleman from Baylor. He'd be ridiculous in the slot. Here's a shocker, I don't believe Treadwell will be what everyone thinks. I think they'll be several guys who'll be better in the pros. E. T.
If linemen are deep like they say, I would consider trading back to stock pile some extra picks. Linemen and LB's are what we truly need.

I wouldn't inherently be opposed to one in the first few rounds if the talent is there. I'm a little less enthused about a WR, we can get a good one in FA without breaking the bank. I want to see Levine Toilolo used more. He caught 7 passes in 16 games. He may have had one drop. Julio was targeted 204 times. This offense would be better if we gave our opponents more to think about and a 6' 8" tight end is hard to deal with if we use him enough to be a factor. Yes, we should be looking for somebody athletic at TE as well but we haven't tapped any of the potential Levine has yet. We just need to throw to him, especially in the red zone. Besides that, no I have him in my only Mock I've done .... I'd love to get him but still not really sure if that is the way we should go. I do know we need to either draft a number 2 wR or get a really good one in FAcy. But after I thought about it, You can get a really good deal in WRs in latter rds.. I had Brandon Marshell picked out in my mock the year he was drafted, I couldn't believe people didn't have him higher.. So it is a position you can get steals on more than any other .. So I'll probably end up in my finial mock with a latter rd WR. Even thou I had Treadwell in my first rd...He'd be a good one though.
Romfal
I really don't care for spending picks on WR's. Cam made it to the SB with scrubs, RW made it to the SB with a bunch of undrafted guys ******* two years straight. Tom Brady recycles late rounders every year. I believe our QB is good enough to throw to Nick Williams and Justin Hardy if he ******* has time to throw the **** ball. FIX THE FUC-KING DEFENSE AND O-LINE

Bobby.Digital
I'm not even that high on Treadwell if anything it could give us an opportunity to move down if he's avaliable.
FalconJim
Who really cares what Mayock has to say about the Falcons. He misses picks more than a blind guitar player. We have to trust Pioli-troff, and our coaches to know what kind of players we need, not some "talking head/stuffed suit"...

etherdome
TE is a major need for this team. Tamme and Toilolo are not getting much done. Having said that, I really don't know if there is a TE in this draft that is worth a first round pick. Our greatest needs are at interior OL and pass rusher. If we can fill those needs in FA, then we will be open to drafting just about any position in the first round.

Macintez
We need another playmaker on the first or second level of the defense... Take the best one available in the first. It's always been easy to find a number #2 WR in the draft. ****, JJ is taking all the attention from them. Go defensive, we need defense, ****, we need a couple O linemen too. obmann
TE is a big Need. Shanahan WCO Needs a good TE more than a lot of good WRs. So if you are running a System and you do not have the personell for that....No wonder, that it does not going in the right direction. OF course shanahan has to improve some calls, but he Needs a Quality TE too. Big Need for the falcons Big Need! and that is the Problem there are lot of big Needs in my opinion. Pass Rusher Quality LBs, safeties....important offseason for the future..

JD dirtybird21
If the best player available in the draft at 17 is a tight end or receiver, I'd be all for it. The Falcons actually should seriously consider upgrading at both receiver and tight end. Julio Jones has taken a beating in his career so far. They need to look at Calvin Johnson and compare what he's gone through to what Julio is going through now. If they want him to play for another 10 seasons, they need to get some weapons around him and stop forcing him the ball
ICUH8N
I'm not gonna lie, but watching Treadwell is like watching Julio 2.0. The same type plays Julio was making at Alabama Treadwell is making at Ole Miss. If we can grab a few FA pieces at C, MLB and SS I wouldn't mind taking him at pick 17 no question. If pass rush is still available in the 2nd then I'll be happy. DE/WR in the 1st or 2nd round either way. Why not Treadwell in the 1st and maybe Striker in the 2nd? if key DE's are gone I wouldn't mind Striker from the Sooners.
