Carr is going to be a helluva QB unfortunately for him he plays for the West Coast version of the Jacksonville Jaguars so it would not shock me to see him traded for a project SS that runs a 4.2 40. Definitely more a question about Oakland's competence than Carr.

Raiders have a great young offensive core in Carr, Latavius Murray, Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree.

He's not going anywhere no matter who is being offered. Edited February 13, 2016 by JerseyNo12
slamee101
Yea, b/c it was a distinct possibility that he would say anything other than what he said. When has Arthur ever really said anything other than "he has full faith" in someone? Some of y'all need to stop claiming that being critical of Matt is "hating" and realize that his poor performance may be viewed through a different lens. I don't think anyone has a problem with being criticial of Matt Ryan if it's done in an objective fashion that holds him to the same standards of every other QB in the NFL. The issue that I and many others have is that Matt Ryan is held to an absurdly different standard here. When someone can make a post stating "Cam Newton did not lose the Super Bowl for the Panthers. Look at how many losses the Falcons had this year because of Matt Ryan." that is anything but objective and is completely absurd. That's the problem I and others have. That's not what I've experienced. Sure, there are board trolls and people that just don't like Matt Ryan. Always have been. However, there are a number of people that are simply being objective but get thrown into the "troll pile" for saying something negative or critical about Matt Ryan at all. I've seen a ton of it over the past couple of months.

I've never called you a troll but there were a few times where I thought your posts went completely over the top and I seriously wanted to say something to you about it but bit my tongue. But I'm sure others like Gazoo did call you out on it. Like I said, if the posts are objective and hold Matt Ryan to the same standard of other NFL QBs then you're not going to be called a troll. I haven't seen that on here. I've seen the ones that are over the top be called troll posts even if the poster themselves, like you, aren't a troll. LOL. That said, I'm looking at it objectively. Now there may be a difference in opinion on whether his struggles are related to Oline, new offense, or just him not performing well but I've never held him to some unreasonable standard that I wouldn't hold any other QB to when I'm comparing him. If I make a statement saying, "I don't know that he'll be as good as we'd hoped he'd be and I don't really know that he's capable of leading us to a SB", in light of this past season that shouldn't spark, "You're such a hater! You're not a real fan!", etc. I digress...I'm just saying that it has become somewhat common for people to catch a ridiculous amount of vitriol (like from that coastiemike poster who has to be a preteen) because you're not sold on Matt Ryan anymore. There's many that think Matt Ryan isn't capable of leading the Falcons to a SB title. That's fine and all but I think the issue arises when the reasons given for why they have that opinion isn't a valid based on why others have been able to win it and why he can't. ryanadonis
Honestly it would probably only be five at the most eight teams that want Matt Ryan now
Xfactor
He can take us to the SB.

Ryan's better than Tanny, Smith, Cinnamon Girl, Captain Kirk & Staff Slamee this is what 567 is referring to. It's not even necessarily trolling. It's just ignorant naivete. One thing I think is interesting is seeing some fans now saying a guy like Dalton is clearly a better qb than Ryan. To me, Dalton is a good example of how fluid qb perception is. Just last year you found countless people who considered Dalton as bad as it gets at the position. Suddenly after one good year from him and one bad year from Ryan, the roles are completely reverse in the minds of many atl fans. People always have a hard time not being a prisoner of the moment. Ultimately only time will tell, but I'm gonna see where this goes with a wait and see approach. Ryan's probably not as bad as many make him out to be, and perhaps wasn't ever as good as some thought a few years ago. He's no bum though. I think there's a good chance he returns to the top ten again in overall performance. ****, he still was even this year in a couple categories. He simply needs to improve a mere 1 or 2 plays a game and we should be fine.
Positive Thinker
Trent Dilfer Brad Johnson Mark Rypien Jeff Hostetler Joe Flacco ... All quarterbacks nowhere near as good as Ryan that won Super Bowls. So yeah, with a good team around him, he's good enough.

I wouldn't say any of those guys listed are actually better than Ryan even though clearly some of them had better years.
