Who do you suggest they bring in for 3 million dollars? I am not a fan of TD but it makes zero sense to cut Roddy with so many other needs and holes on the roster. We are not up against the salary cap and the ideal situation is to have someone on the roster who can replace his role. It is refreshing to hear TD realize it was probably a mistake letting Mclure go in favor of an unproven Konz,

Only person I can think of Pierre Garcon. Garcon was signed to be a #1 WR under Shanny but when Gruden came in they brought in D. Jax and he's their guy now. Garcon already know Kyle's offense. I expect the Skins to cut him to save money.

However, if they keep Roddy, that wouldn't be a bad move. I just hope they upgrade at TE.

Oh yeah cause my comment about leaving the team has so much more value to the Falcons than a wide receiver getting paid 6 million a year for 2 tds and 30 catches

actually it does, if you noticed a bunch of people here keep reminding you of it.

Plain and simple Roddy isn't worth what he has been payed lately and this year will be no different. You don't pay players for what they used to be. And Roddy would be easy to replace as well. People saying Roddy is a "competitor" is good and all, but even bad players can be competitors. I'd vote to cut him unless he reworks his contract, but even if we don't its not like he is going to cripple our cap.

And lol @ comparing Mud Duck and Roddy when Mud Duck was the only center Ryan ever had on offense and touched the ball every snap. They are not the same thing. O line plays as a unit. WR is 1v1.

You mean the continuity of a team that has gone 4-12, 6-10 and 8-8....great argument homer.

Homer?  Me?

Learn your posters, newb.

In this numbers obsessed world we live in it's people like you that fail to see how the wisdom, saavy and presence of a veteran and well-respected leader can have a positive impact on a team.  We have far more issues to be worried about than trying to get rid of the franchise's most prolific receiver to date.

You get rid of Roddy and then what?  Pay a free agent receiver 3 times what roddy would be making?  Because thats what free agent receivers are going to make in this market.

I keep telling people that the market was set when MICHAEL CRABTREE signed a deal earlier in the year that pays him 8mil per year to be a number 2 receiver behind Amari Cooper.  Michael Crabtree is getting 8mil a year....

Michael Crabtree.

If your claims were true why was Roddy one of the veterans who lead the players only meeting. He was one of the few players who publicly defended his quarterback and declared the offense would improve but you calling it crying.

His peers respect him, the coaches respect him but of course you know better.

Roddy leads meetings. Omg lets give him a pay increase now. Roddy defended matt after complaining to the media. An issue that shouldve stayed in house. If you think the team didnt have a issue with it your crazy. Roddy has been above average at best in his career and even back then he racked up useless yard vs crap teams in week 5 or so. Tell me the last time roddy took over a game that mattered. NFC champion ship remember that? Roddys drops help send us home. These days roddy has two routes, slant and curl. He cant get open without a coverage break down or pushing off. We will be 2x better without roddy and I dont care what anyone says. Ill have my day when he is let go. Hopefully its before we waste matt and julios prime and get a defense.

Posters on here are totally clueless about Roddy and how the game goes.

Enlighten us then. Tell me how it "really" is because I have always wanted to have that access and it appears you do! What other insight can you give us?? Does Julio wear boxers or briefs or maybe commando? What's Biermann's yeti-like wife like in person?

Roddy isn't going anywhere and his contract isn't a problem at Flowery Branch. Only on here. End of story.

Is that some more of your hard hitting "behind the Flowery Branch walls" sh!t? Which of the 17 GM's or Ex-Gm's told you this? Is it true that TD's bike doesn't have a seat on it and he just goes raw dog?

This is awesome having a real connection on these boards!

Still havent responded to what I said.  All you're doing is making R the Great like statements.

This is why these boards suck.  Newbs should be relegated to post in a newbs only forum where their posts can be monitored before they're allowed to make contact with veteran posters.

The offense as it is, really only has about 5 guys Ryan, Julio, Freeman, Jake, and maybe Shraeder) who are worth building around, and the rest are really just mediocre to below average NFL talent.  lol

I would say that Tamme is above average, and Coleman could be too, but outside of those guys there is a drop off. Williams makes though catches and so does Hardy, but you wouldn't go out of your way to keep those guys at contract time that's for sure.
