lju713
I think Brown is cheaper and more athletic, but Trevethan is from the area and has that leadership quality and winning pedigree we need at LB. Thoughts??
Atlfanstckndenver
I say both. They really can fill different roles if we need them to. I'd be happy with either, but better with both. I guess if we had to choose one, it would depend on whether we want to sign the guy who could potentiality provide more upside in Brown, or the guy that has already shown his potential allowing us to be more sure of what to expect in Travathan. Ultimately, Zach Brown is more along the lines of what this scheme would require from a linebacker athletically speaking, but Travathan would suffice and bring perhaps more consistency. falconsd56
We have the space for both. But I am not sure they are ready to move on from Durant and or Reed yet

Durant however would definitely see a playing time reduction at minimum, but if the main goal is to improve this team in any and every way possible, they better not let a player like Durant get in the way of the entire team's success. That would be highly disappointing if we had a chance like that.
lju713
Durant needs to be cut. Brown will be cheaper, but Trevathan seems to be the better LB as far as his play.
WOR
Don't forget Smith is quite familiar with Trevathan and that seems to be a big deal to this staff.
WOR
But then again. Did our new scout draft brown?

ATLFalcon36
Would love either one, we haven't really had an amazing LB since Tuggle - would love to have one leading the D. Boley flashed then fizzled, Demorrio flashed but was undersized, Spoon was always hurt. We're overdue
Sponge
I'm still not sold on Reed.
Adam25
I'm on board with the other guys in saying both, but if I had to pick one I'd go Trevathan. Dude's really amped his game play up the last while and he's a playmaker with excellent coverage ability, he's also a three down LB something this team needs badly. Familiarity with the scheme already makes me think that he could be one of our top targets.
