Noah Spence?

Recommended Posts

He's currently projected to go at the end of the 1st / beginning of the 2nd (CBS). Where would he have been projected without the Ecstasy issue and if he'd stayed at OSU.

And why the heck isn't anyone talking about him. Guy is a monster and looks like he could be better than Ogbah in regards to rushing the passer.

Just read some tweets about him and Sheldon Rankins standing out at practice today. Kinda surprised there isn't a Senior Bowl thread yet.

I've been looking at Rankins for a while now. Many people like him. He's not as athletic as some of this years DTs as he's more of a Squatty build than the others, He looks like a very thick short tree trunk running at you but he can be very disruptive.

Had an ectasy problem in college and got kicked out of Ohio state. I'm thinking if he shows well that he will be a first rounder. With the trouble in his past I can't see us taking him.

Probably gonna be a steal for someone

Wishful thinking that Spence goes in the second. He won't make it out of the first after the senior bowl and combine. He's a great player, reminds me a lot of Khalil Mack. He'll be a steal for a team like Arizona or Cinncinati in the back end of the first. Spence embodies Quinn's fast and physical approach.

Titans reporter Jim Wyatt reports Eastern Kentucky DE Noah Spence has been "downright dominant at times" in Senior Bowl practices.

Spence has been one of this week's biggest eye openers, setting Twitter aflutter with his routine harassment of quarterbacks. Rotoworld's Josh Norris has been among those impressed by the Ohio State transfer, pegging him as the No. 13 overall player in the draft. Character is the concern for Spence, who was booted by the Buckeyes after failing two drug tests.

He is bigger than Beasley.  He would have to be an OLB for us.  I don't think you can afford to have two guys under 260 lining up at DE.  If he can stand up and rush from the OLB spot, I have no problem with him.  I think the bigger concern would be the off the field issues FOR THE FALCONS.  I think if you have been clean over a year, next question and give the guy a shot.

You can never have enough pass rushers and there is nothing that says they both have to start. If he can play in sub packages and give the Falcons 16 to 20 snaps in sub rushing the passer it's worth taking a player with that kind of raw skill.

Put him on the strong side and make Brooks Reed earn it.

I could see a situation where one lines up at RDE and the other lines up at LOLB.  I'm not sure how much he did it, but Beasley did rush standing up some last year.  If both are versatile enough to do that, it would be a win-win to have two guys that can basically stay on the field together.

I do however place a real high value on a 270+ pound guy that can play strong side DE and at least be a good producer of sacks.

Former scout Louis Riddick, now with ESPN, made this comparison as well.  Said he was Khalil Mack with pass rush skills.  That is scary to think about bc Mack is a **** good pass rusher.
