Matt Ryan Tutor
This should happen asap. This guy has been consistently good for us.
krammmit
He played well this year. Lock him up just in case he gets even better and we have to pay 100 mil. Let's not do the Brent Grimes thing again.

Sponge
Tru is a solid CB but not elite by any means. He's kinda like Matt Ryan on the defensive side of the ball. Not locking him up now would be a mistake. He's the only CB we've hit on in the past three drafts.
hjerry
There's no rush. He can be given the option any time up until the draft. We'll probably focus on more imminent FAs first.
DoYouSeeWhatHappensLarry
We have until early May. I can't imagine a scenario where we don't pick it up.

That's what Byron Maxwell got and he's trash. I put Trufant in the same boat as Patrick Peterson. He just got 14 a year. Also add in the fact that every year they get more and more so I can see 14.I just can't see 5 for 60.
Atlfanstckndenver
This is kind of a non issue no brainer. There's absolutely nothing to worry about here. Edited January 26, 2016 by Atlfanstckndenver
FentayeJones
They will pick up Trufant's option - that's kind of a no brainer. I wonder what they are thinking in terms of extending Rocky though. He's a free agent after this year. If Quinn follows Seattle model, they always let the number two corner walk (Browner, Maxwell, Thurmond). Its gonna be interesting.
spiker
We will never know how good Trufant can be without a pass rush!

Halsey.
Yeah, seems like an inevitable extension. There's a history of good organizations being willing to give big contracts to special CBs. Broncos: Talib, Seattle: Sherman, for example.
Tribal Chief
This is just his 3rd season. How many times has a team picked up a fifth year option after 3 seasons

That's why you heard all that stuff about Bruce Irvin not having his option exercised last year.

We have no one behind him! we have a lot of ? marks behind rocky. Collins was suppose to be quality depth/insurance for that day, but his level of play pretty much inked Rocky's next contract. We let rocky walk and he signs with the panthers the next day.

Good point- I forgot about that! either way- I think we resign. Rocky wont demand that much and he is in a good situation here in ATL
Thiccolas Cage
I am more concerned about re-signing Alford at the end of the season. I think he can continue to grow into a quality corner for this team. I would really hate to see him walk, but then again every player that I wanted TD to re-sign happened to walk (i.e., Walker, Lofton, Boley, Lowery, etc.). Hopefully Quinn realizes there are other areas of the defense that need to be upgraded before corner and doesn't allow that position to become a liability.
