quotemokc
We should go after him in FA.Broncos can't keep all their FAs and they have a lot of them. This guy, whilst being relatively expensive wouldn't break the bank and would instantly improve our LB core in a way that Reed has failed to do thus far. Unless we decide to get rid of one of those guys, I don't see how he would fit. We'll probably draft a LB, and get one through FA (maybe somebody like Trevathan) --- guess we'll have to wait and see how it all shakes out.....still got a lot of time for decisions like that, but I'm sure our staff is looking into all the possibilities. Yes, Reed isn't going anywhere yet, but we have the room to make moves if we want/need to.- Durant is cuttable without much dead money at all. We'd get an additional $2.38M of cap space this year & just $800k in dead money next year.- Worrilow's contract is up,but might be worth bringing back. Should he be starting? HeII no! But he's still very young, got a good work ethic, and knows the scheme already, so I'll take him as cheap depth. Give him something like 4 years/$6.5M- Clayborn is a free agent & he's not playing LB here anyway.- Designating T. Jax a post-June 1st cut would save us a ton (we gain $4.75M this year w/ $1.6M in dead money for 2017)- Cutting Hester gets us another $3M now with just $800k in dead money for 2017- Cutting Matt Bryant gets us $2.2M to play with & will only cost $666k in dead money- Cutting Babs would give us another $2M and only cost $666k in dead moneyThis moves would give us an additional $15M in cap room (we already have about an estimated $19M right now... so we'd have $34M in cap space to re-sign our own FAs, be very active in FA, pay our draft picks, and still have plenty to roll over for next year when we will need to pay Tru, Matthews, and possibly Alford & a few others.Bottom line, we CAN afford to go after guys like Iloka, Trevathan, etc. in FA if they hit the open market. Power I
I would sign Trevathan and Malik Jackson. I'm sure Richard Smith already knows them well.

32wood84white
We arnt close? Come on guys. There's nothing that suggests we wont be in the playoffs next yesr.Another offseason in KS system, an opportunity to add to the offensive, as well as an opportunity to take a defense that improved form bottom of the pack to about the middle. We went 8-8. We saw some good, some bad, some terrible and vs the panthers we saw a glimpse of what this team has to offer.
texasfalconfan
Trevathon did a fabulous job covering James white this weekend a lb on a running back step for step. I'd sign him and cut reed in a heartbeat if he wants to come here

Atlfanstckndenver
Trevathon did a fabulous job covering James white this weekend a lb on a running back step for step. I'd sign him and cut reed in a heartbeat if he wants to come hereDifferent roles all together. Also, I don't think we've seen all that Reed has to offer. Needless to say injuries affected him, as his controlled snap count implied even after he came back. I just never saw the guy who was a leader in Houston for all those years. Basically, what I would do, is give it another year regardless of whether we want to sign other similar players or not. I want to see if he gets back to previous form. The guy can most definitely help this team if he can get healthy again. Edited January 26, 2016 by Atlfanstckndenver
spiker
Reed was playing injured on a team with NO pass rush...The result is not his fault but the recliner jockeys are ready to cut him..imagine that!
