So the Carolina Panthers will probably win the SB & the Falcons will be the only team to have beat them in 2015

Who are the real Falcons - the team that lost by 30+ points and what shutout in their first 2015 meeting with Panthers

Or the team that flat out beat the Panthers in the Dome 2 weeks later and the only team that beat the Panthers in the 2015

What Do the Falcons --realistically-- need to this offseason in Free Agency and the Draft to deserve your season tickets renewal in 2016 and your PSL commitment for 2017?

Well to be fair I think we were playing with a purpose that game while Carolina was playing complacent. I think we'll improve though now that we have a better idea of our identity. Another good draft and free agency should give us a winning season and a real threat to Carolina going forward.

I agree that the Falcons really wanted to end all hopes of the Panthers goin undefeated.

I don't think the Panthers and were complacent. They really wanted to go undefeated and don't forget that they still had the Cardinals on their backs for the #1 seed.

Falcons just hit them in the mouth that game.

Great story for a rivalry. Feels good to think about until you realize we're the last in the NFC South to win a Superbowl. Not that I'll be buying any PSL's but if I was, I'd have to see a solid FA period that includes a center and a linebacker or two, and draft help for the defensive front and safety and maybe a TE with potential.

If you look at the season the Panthers game was an aberration. The next game against the Saints proved that.

The Falcons were lucky Cam Newton missed practice most of the week because he was in Atlanta for the birth of his child.

Next season is going to be HUGE for Quinn because if Ryan continues to regress Blank may have to bring in a new coach to generate interest for PSLs for the new stadium.

All of this.

I also add that the Falcons win over Carolina came just 2 weeks after playing them, so the familiarity and remembering all pf the previous mistakes probably played a huge role in not making the same mistakes again, and with just making an overall better game plan the second time around. Also, the Falcons just played well that day.

Just a little history on the Panthers, for those of you who have made some inaccuracies on your posts about their playoff games, and Super Bowl appearances. As you can see, they have been to one SB, and lost, same as The Falcons. However, they have more playoff appearances.
In contrast, the N. O. Saints, and the Bucs do have a Lombardi --- dammit...

I believe Denver will beat Carolina. Several players were a part of the last Superbowl run two years ago and I think they will play with a chip on the shoulder.

Not sure the falcons can fix all their woes in one off season too many holes and not enough difference makers and leaders to build around.

We went 1-6 in our division the year, weve got a long way to go.

And yet are also the only team in the history of the NFC South to not make it to the Superbowl.

Her you go, bub ---

Super Bowl XXXIII was an American football game between the American Football Conference (AFC) champion Denver Broncos and the National Football Conference (NFC) champion Atlanta Falcons to decide the National Football League (NFL) champion for the 1998 season. The Broncos defeated the Falcons by the score of 34–19, winning their second consecutive Super Bowl. The game was played on January 31, 1999 at Pro Player Stadium in Miami, Florida.
