Sipifalcon
And Henderson is a dB coach with the Cowboys anyway to be pass game coordinator... wth
FalconsAirMiles
His only coaching stint as a Offensive coach was when Raheem Morris was a Grad Assistant at Hofstra That same year he began his collegiate coaching career as a graduate assistant coach at Hofstra University, where he was responsible for coaching the offensive scout team, developing scouting reports and handling video breakdown and computer input and analysis. E. T.
This has to be a misprint when I read it.... Morris works on defense right?

RetiredFalconFan48
Another question is, was the move more about more about checks and balances of power on offense and defense or more about filling a hole?Filling a hole: keep staff in tact as much as possible.Power Balance: Give more defensive control to Rich Smith by removing assistant head coach from over him... give kyle someone more senior to challenge his strategy and help him grow his game planning by seeing things from a defensive perspective. Jesus
Why can't the pass defense expert lead the receivers on how to break through a secondary? Guy was an NFL HC.
RetiredFalconFan48
I agree. The move is similar to Pete's plan with Russell Wilson. Remember, Quinn says it's about growing and getting better at every level... not just with the players. Why can't the pass defense expert lead the receivers on how to break through a secondary? Guy was an NFL HC.
ATLFalcons11
This is not uncommon. He's been a DB coach for many years and the experience of knowing the other side can be beneficial to route running.
me4falcons
Good coaches can coach about any postion.

FentayeJones
This is not uncommon. He's been a DB coach for many years and the experience of knowing the other side can be beneficial to route running. No its not uncommon. MIke Nolan has coached WRs, Josh McDaniels has coached on defense, Eric Mangini has coached on both sides and there have been others also. RetiredFalconFan48
I think the move could also be about Quinn spending more of his personal time on fundamentals during the season instead of assisting Kyle on Offense...now Raheem can provide that assistance with similar authority but more experience to challenge Kyle strategic authority. Sun Tzu 7
WR coach dont call playsReally? Then you might want to mention that to all the people saying he's going to keep Shanahan in check.

youngbloodz
Really? Then you might want to mention that to all the people saying he's going to keep Shanahan in check.comparing Raheem Morris to Juan Castillo was horrible. Castillo went from being just an offensive position coach to calling plays for the defense. Morris will be teaching techniques to WRs. How to release and fight off a jam. Not the same compared to Castillo
