If Ezekiel Elliot Is There At 17..

We should trade back with Houston at 22 who is probably looking to replace Arian Foster. I think they go Elliot in the 1st and Hackenberg in the 2nd. The Colts and Jets are picking in front of the Texans and they both may go RB.

A trade back from 17 to 22 would land us another 3rd pick just a thought.

17th pick = 950

22nd pick = 780 + 165(3rd rd 85th pick) = 945

When I first looked at the headline I was thinking it was another, get the shinny object draft pick article. But....

I am very pleasantly surprised! Now this is the type of draft talk I can get with!

That would not be a bad move, especially since there is a very good chance the same player "we" are looking at at that point in the draft will still be there at 22.

Only thing that could change a move like this or similar is if a player high on your board falls to you.(Nkemdiche for example)

This is why this fan base and franchise will never be a winner.

Your going to sit there at 17 and pass up on the next Adrian Peterson?

A man who is PERFECT for Kyle Shanahan and his ZBS system.

A man who defines what Shanahan is looking for in a RB.

But NOOOOO. We must trade down to get a 3rd round pick we would probably screw up.

Get the best offensive player in round 1 if he is even there.

Stop messing around Falcons fans and get away from this mindset of bringing in crap players.

Its time to start bring in DIFFERENCE makers.

FINAL NOTE

If you really want to change this team to be competitive and a winner.

You would get Elliot and you would take Boykin from TCU and make them the stars of your team now and the future.

Matt Ryan has had his time to prove what he is worth, and what he has been worth the past 3 years are 3 LOSING seasons by him.

Shake this team up or this franchise and that new stadium will be down and out in a hurry.

And if you don't like my plan, than your obviously ok with losing and keeping the same PATH year in and year out, while other teams are getting playmakers, we are getting guys collecting pay checks.

Of course because another route would be wrong....

Lets keep the path TD is providing us. I don't mind losing another 3 years till he is maybe demoted or fired.

Well, the fact that Devonte Freeman is a probowl running back and Coleman was drafted in the 3rd Rd last year, I would say the 17th pick would be wasted on another RB. Also, with the deficiencies on both OL and DL, as well as a desperate need at LB and S, doubling up on skill position players in the first 2 rds of this year's draft is laughable.

I don't mind the outside the box thinking, but the Falcons can't draft a running back round one with a proven pro bowl player at the same position. Freeman is too young and oerfecr for the ZBS to kick him to the curb already.

The Falcons need to concentrate on a defensive front 7 player with that pick.

Yes, I am sitting here saying he is the next AP but people don't want to believe it because he is not hyped up like AP. But according to the EXPERTS around here, we should trade out of that spot if Elliot is there at 17.

Uh, no.... We said to possibly offer the pick to gain more draft picks to attempt to sure up the areas of this team that REALLY need it. Not add another RB when we already have a Pro Bowler and behind him another pretty good back.

Was a simple What if.

And by the way... How many Rings does AP have?? How many do the Patriots have(that normal stockpile picks)??

Don't get me wrong, EE will be a fine player in the NFL I am sure and would be a nice pickup... However, it would be a "better" pickup to add a draft pick to this Short class. IF the situation is "tasty enough" that is presented.
