Terrible trade

How so? We get much needed front court depth and not only that but we also get to see a slight glimpse of the Noah/Horford pairing before Horford makes his decision as to whether he wants to leave or not. Who knows? Maybe getting Noah over here to back him up isn't such a bad thing. Plus Gibson behind Sap makes Muscala tradable for a decent piece at the 3. Maybe something like Muscala+1st for Covington?

We play pace and space. Neither of those guys can shoot. Both of those guys are old and injury prone.

But they provide what we don't have as of now. Elite rim protection and superior rebounding. Look don't get me wrong I want to keep our core guys together like Teague,Horf,Sap,Korver, etc. but we gotta consider moving someone like Splitter,Teague,or someone in order to get better because as of right now this is Lebrons Eastern Conference to lose and from what we've seen what gave the Cavs the most struggles last season with a healthy Love and Irving was a good mix of our offensive effiecency and the grit and toughness that Chicago has in their lineups, and with this deal IMO we're getting the best of both worlds.

Also on a 2nd note even if we was to make this deal we'd still have players to space and run. I mean I traded away Splitter and Teague. Neither are lights out shooters.... And only Teague is a guy who is known to run the floor like a flash.

Neither of those guys are elite at anything in 2016. They are old and hurt. Especially Noah.
