falconsd56
Honestly the only problem we really had with Ryan was the turnovers. I do believe that can be just a product of a new system. We held on to the ball for a long time7th in ypg, #1 in TOP, #2 in 3rd % (1% behind the Saints), #13 in 4th down %. It's clear that the problem and only problem with the offense was the turnovers. Those stats simply don't lie...Ehh, to an extent I agreeBut the body language Ryan showed in interviews after games about Shanny indicates there was some sort of issue..There were times where our guys looked confused. And Ryan and Jones& White looked like they were on totally different pages
Tuggle'2
I don't like to make snap decisions based on a limited sampling. Pretty much every person on this board thought Free was Quiz Jr. after last season. Honestly, EVERY person.I spent all of last year trying to convince everyone here that Freeman was the real deal. I told and told everyone that the Miami preseason game and the flashes in the other few and far between were the real Free. People here though saw him get extremely limited snaps at the ends of games where all he was supposed to do is run clock and decided that was who he was. I felt pretty darn vindicated that he was finally given real play time and showed that that Miami game most certainly wasn't just preseason bullsheed. *Old Pappy Falcon*
Stubborn, tied to the system and can't adjust, not a real offensive mind just a system guy who is only in the nfl because of his dad. Has never had long term success in the nfl, leaves a wake of broken qbs behind him. Never stays anywhere to long.lmao! WOW you want the job? I don't get the KS apologists he literally has no success to speak of in the NFL and this year alone two players that has a long history of success RW and Ryan performed terribly for him and talked about how his system is to complex. Ryan and RW have a collection of work going back to 2008 that shows they can be successful in the league and have been, KS has nothing of the sort. I'll give the benefit of the Doubt to RW and Ryan. B_Lo_Touchdowns
Do they keep "wins" as a stat for offensive coordinators? In other words, give me a break How else do you judge a coach? The stats are posted 2 winning season in 10 years but you guys wanna give him a pass. Dude hasnt accomplished anything and was giving a job by the same men his father has giving jobs too. Quinn is the only guy not linked to Mike that gave him a job. Him putting pistol and read opinion plays in the game plan for a non mobile QB is all anyone with minimal football knowledge needs to see to know this guy is garbage. 15 points a game and muliple defensive players knowing our plays before we run them. In other words Kyle sucks at his job, but yea its not his fault its all on Ryan. Take a break and have a snickers
FalconFanSince1970
Can't stand Shanny's system. Screw that sideways bush it. Tired of seeing 4 yard TFLs on that stretch run. Hate cutting the field in half with all the boots. Don't care for the pass happiness. Despise the Julio target forcing. The dinking and dunking drives me crazy. Hail even June Jones threw deep.Never had a top 10 rushing offense without the aid of a 400+ yard rushing QB. Bogs down in the red zone. Always ranked high in empty yards, but rarely ranked high in points scored. Only had a top 10 scoring offense twice in eight seasons. Lord knows I hope he gets a job with his daddy next year.He ruined Ryan and Roddy. I can understand the typical TATF blind loyalist towing the company line and wanting him here, but I am shocked by respected TATFers like KoG, Fatboi and Vel sticking up for that sorry as sideways offense. Shocked.
Andras
Here's what trips me out about Shanahan fanboys."He can turn RGIII into ROY!""He can make Hoyer look decent!"Yet he made a probowl QB that is consistently debated about being top 10 or 5 into a scrub.Trying to be on both sides of the street is hilarious to watch. Pretty much every person on this board thought Free was Quiz Jr. after last season. Honestly, EVERY person. Not true I thought Freeman would do pretty much what he did in this system. I'm with you though that I do not think this system or Shanny should have been scrapped after one year. It does show some potential but there was some growing to do in it and some holes that still need to be filled.

Sidecar Falcon
First year offenses tend to have issues. For far too long we relied on our players to make or break this team. This year was a complete 180 on that philosophy. We are now basing our players off a a system we installed. Whenever this happens, especially during a regime change, you're going to see roster turnover and you're going to see growing pains. It wouldn't surprise me that in another year or two we will have churned about 70% of our Smith roster.Patience isn't a virtue found on these boards, people here need to realize that it takes time to build up a team the right way. Andras
The fact that people treat Shanahan as some sort of needed foundation for a strong team amuses me.The guy produces nothing but red zone troubles and excuses.

It's not hard to look like a good qb when you're surrounded by hof weapons.Let's see.Ryan did fine under Mularkey. That removes the Koeter excuse. He had his best year without Turner. There goes that.He did fine before Julio. There goes that.Ryan had a pretty good rookie year.I guess your only excuse now is Roddy. "Roddy White the carrier of QB's!"Yeah, it sounded stupid to me, as well.Did you forget to bring up Tony? Here's also what is funny about your post in response to me mocking the Shanahan support.Shanahan has Julio, Roddy and Ryan and he cant get into the end zone like Mularkey and Koetter did. That's a problem that has followed him his whole career. That and the excuses.
