falconsd56
If White is cut( which I hope not)Tampa certainly can use him to help mentor some of their young talent receiving. And If Smitty gets a HC gig somewhere White will have a job. Lornoth
I doubt Roddy's going anywhere. It would be mistake to cut him, anyway.
THEHEADCOACH
That would be another dumb move by quinn. His first one was hiring shanny.

Mr. Captain Falcon
his cap hit isnt even that large and we still have a lot of room to work with, we arent even going to think about cutting him until we would absolutely need too. I dont understand people sometimes, they always want to cut or fire somebody without talking about replacing them with someone.
Brady
I'm indifferent as long as we can get a decent replacement in FA. I don't think he will leave though.
Atlfanstckndenver
Nah, if he does get cut and decides to continue his career it certainly won't be with the crap fest sucks. He wants a ring.

Our team went downward spiral from there just effin please him. And what did he do in last game ...nothing!!! Julio has matured now and can take lead role as a senior to groom Hardy.Roddy no doubt has made unfathomable contributions but, today in current NFL setup he doesn't fit in. He's too slow and doesn't have great hands like what he did in the past. Give him a nice send off and good wishes.

Is that really worth cutting another WR on an already depleted unit?

Hank was our #2 WR and he didn't even make it through a season. Roddy (even with a few drops) made the clutch catches that Hankerson rarely did. We spent the season working a system that did not really go beyond 1,2 checkdown and Roddy ended up being #3 as the decoy/blocker. If Roddy was counting heavily against the cap, I could see wanting to push him off but unless with hit a jackpot in FA or the draft, Roddy is still going to be better than anyone we can get to replace him and we need someone like Roddy who can still posses the ball even if his threat is dimished. JOEinPHX
The ex-Falcons folks in Tampa know Roddy has nothing left in the tank. He won't be going there, you can book it.
Aries2887
I bet he'll have a good season next year if Shanny learned that a Team doesn't just have one reciever to go to. Edited January 5, 2016 by Aries2887

zekeyboy1
Yall do know that Roddy could play elsewhere and still retire a Falcon right? NFL coaches dont have time for sympathy..AB needs to get the **** out of the way, and let the HC decide if Roddy stays or goes..And stay off the fkn sidelines during the game. lol

Blank has stated this as well. As a fan, I don't care if he's on the decline. He's a leader on the team, and he can help bring along the WRs we draft. And I'm pretty sure that Blank signs the checks. Based off that, he can stand where he pleases. Blank could ride into the stadium on TDs wife, and nobody would say anything... Roddy was single coverage in the int and Matt went to freeman. I was at the game. Matt had roddy a few times wide open and went elsewhere. That's why he didn't do much that game.
