Duff_Man
Most good QB's up their game as the season progresses. A msg to Matt .................'Up Yours 'Aaron Rodgers got remarkably worse as this season went on.
Byrdman242424
Aaron Rodgers got remarkably worse as this season went on. Aaron Rodgers also has no offensive line, a mediocre at BEST running game, and not one WR who can create separation. The Falcons stayed relatively healthy. Next. BeRom
I have been a defender of Matt, but this year has really taken a toll on his game. It can be (and has been) said that Shanahan and the new system is partially to blame, but yesterday's game was revealing. He's become less and less accurate even on less than 20 yd. passes; seems to rush more than usual even when the OL gives him time. He needs to work with a QB guru on reestablishing fundamentals in this off-season. If he continues into next year his substandard play, regardless of the cause, The Ryan era may maybe rapidly coming to a close.
Atlfanstckndenver
He's not done.I don't think he's done either. I don't necessarily blame people for criticizing his play either. As another poster stated though, this thread is loaded to the brim with knee jerk reaction. The guy had a pretty bad season. Let's find out what he does to avoid that from happening again. People who would rather cut him or just be rid of him over giving him a chance to come back better have clearly underestimated him. He's earned that much at least. Now I've said since earlier this year that if this continues we're going to be having a tough conversation.

And that's not a Matt Ryan thing, that's any top tier QB or player. You don't just cut guys when they have some off times. Especially in their primes. It's just not how professional sports works. RyanC
He's gets one more season from me before I write his *** off. Dude has to cut down on the turnovers but good luck next year with the kind teams he'll be facing.

JDaveG
Aaron Rodgers also has no offensive line, a mediocre at BEST running game, and not one WR who can create separation. The Falcons stayed relatively healthy. Next.So Matt Ryan has the 1 WR.Not sure I'm seeing much of a difference otherwise. We have a really good RB, but we do not have a really good running GAME. And our o-line play, especially on the interior, is putrid.
Theyhateme : )
http://boards.atlantafalcons.com/topic/3933826-matt-ryans-untimely-ints/It's really interesting to see some of the comments concerning this thread about Ryan and his untimely INTs...LOL...this is from 2011
slamee101
Kind of over it. It is what it is but I don't expect much from him. There was a point when I was confident in what we'd do on offense late in a close game. Last few seasons I actually cringe. Begotten912
21 scores and 21 turnovers for Matt Ryan this season. Don't be mad he won't be here next season. Is "here" referring to your fantasy team?

Dr. Billings
Take the blinders off. It's time for a new QB. This reality seems to escape many on the message board. Matt Ryan has finished his 8th season. People his skills from this season forward will start to decline. Not that they were superior in the past. But whatever skills he's had are gonna diminish going forward. That said, cut your loss. Bring in a 2nd or 3rd round qb. Nurture the qb while Ryan decline. Give the trainee a glimpse of the NFL speed here and there. Then give him the keys after a season or two.

Matt isn't going anywhere this year...but this is what gets me. I wish people would TRY to look at it more objectively. I know they like the guy, he was their favorite player, he was supposed to be the guy that lead us to greatness but we're 8 years in and while we've had plenty of issues...at some point you can't keep coming up with excuses. He's been a good QB for most of his career but I think that maybe some folks need to at least entertain the notion that we've seen the best of him. He's going into his 9th year and unlike some veterans that played into their late 30s...he's never had superior athleticism or great arm strength and his decision making continues to get worse from what I can tell. slamee101
MUH FANTASY STATS!Eh, I think scoring TDs actually count for something. They did finish with 10 wins and they are in the playoffs. That's the case with issues at RB this season and the 15th ranked defense (Atlanta's was 16th for what it's worth). We'd be orgasmic if that was the case in Atlanta right now. Tuggle'2
Watch out, the nut huggers and thread-title changing mods are to the rescue!Only time a title is changed is when someone is dumb enough to cuss in said title. If you don't like that the place has rules, albeit very relaxed rules, I cant help you.

On this board, good qb's are supposed to carry their team and aren't supposed to choke at home against a division rival when the division title is on the line. Next.
