lju713
We need a coordinator and a vet or rookie to push Matt. No excuse for today's lost nor the MIN,TB(pick 1)or Indy. We let 12-4 slip thru our fingers.
Falconsfan567
So fumbles, dropped passes, dumb penalties weren't a factor in the Falcons 8-8 season? Whatever! This place is a joke! I'm done!

TSprings
A lot of crap happened for us to lose that game with Ryan playing great. It lead up to that INT a mistake that anyone could make. Id like to see him to check down to Devonta in that situation but it really was a great break by the defender. BUT 12-4 is a STRETCH

FalconinPA
The whole team cost us the season. From the offense to the special teams, we have been horrible. Ryan has had a terrible year. He has had a thing for throwing picks or making mistakes when the game is on the line. This team has been a joke. But in true Falcons style, we will show them next year. Rise
If Roddy is slipping in performance..Ryan is too...Hate to say it.He's taking the easy way out, and doesn't believe that opposing teams know it. They are watching for the check-down to the RB or TE..I takes more than being efficient....He has to actually out-think a defense...and throw it somewhere they don't expect..He did not want to be hit, and checked-down INT to Freeman too much...It is not his eyesight, but he is choosing to avoid deeper passes, and teams are watching his outlet options..He will have to do something..Shanahan was not happy on the sidelines...Ryan is making bad judgements out there...I don't hate Ryan, but if its his way--he won't change. He had time in the pocket against "The worst defense in The NFL"..Something is wrong.. Can't blame Shanahan, or drops... If The Falcons had the lead after Roddy's drop, Ryan still would've thrown that double-covered check-down dump-off...Saints would have tied.. It has happened before...I don't wish anything bad on him, but The organization will have to consider a QB-before the new dome opens...Especially with a s new GM staff... Rise
Another note: The Falcons can release Roddy, Beirman, Tamme, Hester, Solai, Jackson, Durant, Reed, and Babineaux, and they still would not have enough money/salary cap space to acquire 4 more Pro Bowl caliber O-Linemen..Ryan does not want to make the big throw deeper, and he settles for check-downs....that end in INTs anyway...I was better to run, and curl on the turf, an d take a sack, than make that throw...The Cardinals don't have Pro Bowl players all over their O-Line either...It's not bad decisions, they are check-downs that are being watched by opposing teams...He does not want to expose his arm strength, but he will have to, because opposing teams are spying Freeman and Tamme..He and Brees have the same arm strength...He had time...He's still going to check-down and avoid young WRs like Hardy...Whether its his eyesight, or whatever...Shanahan may have made the call, but Ryan should have seen those 2 defenders near Freeman.I don't thin that The Falcons go into the new dome like this... BUT 12-4 is a STRETCH He's made that decision about 5 times this year...I like Ryan, and its going to bad--when (not if) The Falcons pull the trigger on a well-known back-up QB to come in an run this offense..Like I said, They could have had the lead, and he would still make that check-down throw in double coverage.. He just made that throw without looking. It would have been better to throw a deep INT than one below...Freeman can't take a pounding to cover for a fear of a passing INT late in games..Every NFL game isn't a blowout. He has a trend of these..

TheFatboi
Its the team not Ryan.Ryan didnt fumble at the 1 (Freeman did)Ryan did drop a wide open pass (Roddy did)Ryan did commit a stupid penalty (Levitre did)All that and the game was 17-17 and we had the ball but it was RYAN that threw the game ending int. Everythong else you mentioned is kinda moot in that situation. If we were down 24-17 I'd agree but in a tie game and we potentially have the win its on your qb to take the reigns. ATLFalcons11
Actually I agree. They did cost us the season, but in the way you would like to convey it.The growing pains of this relationship was the downfall of this season but will be the success of next season. That's the same stuff that was pulled early in the year when Hankerson was dropping passes but we were still winning. For example maybe if Roddy catches the ball we are up by 3 there. Maybe if Freeman doesn't fumble we are up by a touchdown. All of the mistakes matter, including Matt Ryan's, not just the very last one.The score determines how the offense plays, how the defense plays, how the opposing team plays, etc. All mistakes change the dynamic of the game. TheFatboi
True, Ryan made the worst mistake of all but I was just stating that the whole team contributed.Def a team loss for sure.
xiv_T_E_C_O_
Everyone needs to relax, we improved significantly in a number of areas. Many see the drop in offensive productivity as a bad thing, I see it as the cost of creating a balanced attack.
sdogg
Improved the run game, but destroyed Ryan and the passing game. There was no need to switch to the complex WCO. No need at all. But it's been done, now we r have to hope we can build upon it. Hope Ryan is not damaged goods, due to the switch.
