youngbloodz
We should have a ton of cap space. If he's available we need to look into. Much rather us bring in a proven guy with some grabs left in the tank as compared to a project like Irvin where you're hoping he'll turn into a stud.how is Irvin a project? youngbloodz
No thanks. Tired of the splashy big ticket 30+ year old free agent signings that almost never make the impact that their hype leads people to believe. If he is so great why does he never win and why is he moving on to his third team? Only interested if it was for a lot less money that what he's made in the past.he isn't great cause he doesn't win? You guys say some of the silliest things

slamee101
Holy crap. Johnson is only 29? If we have any shot at making him a Falcon we need to jump on that. He's awesome.I think he'll be the same age Mario is when he's a free agent after next season. I don't really see a huge difference in that and signing Mario this offseason and I doubt Carolina lets him walk.
NateDogg1215
You guys think Houston just let him walk because he was so freaking great?????
KRUNKuno
Wasnt Johnson the one asking Schofield "Who are you?"Give me Williams on a 2 year deal. He's an overall very good player. Plays both the run and the pass at more than above average levels.Give me Irvin as well. We can get both at 15-17/yr. I believe it was stated we'll have something like 35mil in cap room after cuts and releases.Beasley gets better, re-sign Clayborn. Wouldn't touch Vernon with a 10ft pole. He's a product of having good players around him. First Wake, then Wake and Suh before Wake went out.
hjerry
No you rim job. Sign the guy who records sacks. A top tier pass rusher. You disagree and somehow I'm the one who says stupid thingsChildWahhhIf they don't do what I want, then they're not commited to winning. hjerry
Yet then again you really have no idea do youkind of like how you have no idea why he'd take 2 years, on what could be his last chance at a large contract?
Halsey.
So what does make him great then? His 4 sacks this season? Missing meetings? Whining to the media? What's so great about him?

slamee101
how is Irvin a project?Perhaps project wasn't the best word but I'd have the same issue I had last offseason if we were to throw a ton of cash at a guy like Derrick Morgan. Good player but you're basically paying him to be a pass rushing stud and he's never done that before. He's just shown glimpses/flashes of it. Sure the argument could be made that he shares snaps with Avril and Bennett but I'd rather gamble on a 30 year old that's proven he can do it than wait for someone to blossom like we did with Ray Edwards, etc.

He's a hybrid player, that does more that just rush the passer.

Halsey.
Calling someone dumb and silly isn't an argument for signing Mediocre Mario. When all you can do is name call, it's a sign you don't have an actual counter argument.

I do like him as a player and respected him before that incident. He's also been a Falcon killer the past few years so I wouldn't mind taking him away. FentayeJones
So then in the Johnson scenario we're assuming Carolina cuts him this offseason? He will almost certainly be a cap casualty. Hes due to make 20m next season.
