youngbloodz
I'll pass on Mario Williams. Would rather get T. Hali or C. Johnson if they get cut as well. Bills fans are saying he wasn't that good this season and played with no heart.the defensive scheme didn't play to his strengths. When Houston switched to a 3-4 he played OLB. He just had an off year. But i would take Hali or Charles Johnson
MoFalconsFan56
If they don't pay for Williams they're not really committed to winning in this ******* league it's really as simple as that
FentayeJones
i think Olivier is better. But i also think he will cost a lot more. Only reason i would go with MarioOliver will certainly hit the market with the cap issues that Miami have and he will be the top edge rusher in free agency. Hes gonna get paid. I would actually love for ATL to make a run at him but I dont know if we will pony up 12 mil a year for him. That's what I heard hes going to get. Barry Allen
He would be a great mentor for Beasley for sure and definitely still has a couple good season left. At the right price I'm all for it!
hjerry
We had a **** ton of cap room this year. We had the worst number of sacks this year. The people talking about overspending will be the same people bitching about our low sack numbers. Check this out, you want sacks? You got to pay for it. We don't even have a guy that has 7 sacks this year who gives a **** about over spending? I want wins and I want a defense. You're misunderstanding this. People aren't saying don't spend money. They're arguing about how to spend the money, and who to spend it on.
hjerry
If I was ATL I would kick the tires on him. I wouldnt worry too much about his age because DQ like to rotate d-lineman to keep them fresh - besides, 30 is not that old if its something like a two year deal.I highly doubt he'd take a 2 year deal, probably at least

MoFalconsFan56
I'm typically against giant FA acquisitions but if Mario Williams falls into our laps pull the ******* triggerHalf of you slam TD for signing guys like Ray Edwards and then the other half says he can't draft a DL worth a $hit so wouldn't it be most productive to sign Mario?I mean what the **** do you people want
FentayeJones
I highly doubt he'd take a 2 year deal, probably at least 4I wouldnt give him 4 unless those last two were non guaranteed or he could be cut with little negative impact on the cap. MoFalconsFan56
WowWhat a stupid thing to say.No you rim job. Sign the guy who records sacks. A top tier pass rusher. You disagree and somehow I'm the one who says stupid things

FentayeJones
Maybe because curry sucksCurry is in the wrong scheme. Hes a good pass rusher when hes playing DE in a 4-3.

It'll be interesting to see if we go all in on him. Lord knows we need all we can get at the pass rush. Not often that these types of players hit the market. I'll never forgive the organization for not signing Doom. It was like the stars aligned for him to come here, and we totally shlt the bed."Not often that these types of players hit the market".....yet Williams has hit it twice now. Houston basically didn't give him an offer when he was eligible to be a FA there & now he's quickly worn out his welcome in Buffalo. The dude is talented but gotta stop and think about why such a talented pass rusher is being treated like he has been by the teams he has been on. I'd definitely kick the tires, but I wouldn't go all in & it'd definitely be a 2 year deal max.

MoFalconsFan56
Curry is in the wrong scheme. Hes a good pass rusher when hes playing DE in a 4-3. Perhaps you're right. didnt they draft him to play 4-3 then switch him to 3-4 olb? Anywho, although you may be right ab him needing a scheme change I still want the proven guy in Wiliams

Atlantafan21
Didn't Irvin resign? No Wagner was resigned. Irvin is set to hit the the market unless he is resigned this offseason.
Francis York Morgan
I really think that Charles Johnson has that attitude that Quinn desires. He'd also provide similar production to Williams at this point in their careers, for probably less money. Plus, he's a GA native, who's been spotted wearing Falcons gear on multiple occasions.Holy crap. Johnson is only 29? If we have any shot at making him a Falcon we need to jump on that. He's awesome. MoFalconsFan56
Chris Johnson is 29?! Wow a whole year younger than Mario Williams!!!Please sign Mario Williams... slamee101
We should have a ton of cap space. If he's available we need to look into. Much rather us bring in a proven guy with some grabs left in the tank as compared to a project like Irvin where you're hoping he'll turn into a stud. He is only being cut cause of his cap hit next year. Rex encourages his players to say what's on their mind. Halsey.
No thanks. Tired of the splashy big ticket 30+ year old free agent signings that almost never make the impact that their hype leads people to believe. If he is so great why does he never win and why is he moving on to his third team? Only interested if it was for a lot less money that what he's made in the past.
